Looks to be one of those Hognose snakes. They are ugly with a funny curved nose and will play died when they know they can't win. Don't think they are venomous but just as useless as an opossum...

I've always been fascinated that snakes can survive in the plumbing long enough to travel up through someone's toilet....

Just discovering this thread....had plenty of snakes in 2016 come up on front and back porch so I expect to be posting some pics here this year

I was hunting close to Alpine earlier this month and they told us that a nearby ranch had removed 30-something of them from one double wide. So I'm guessing it's the latter.

The other pictures I've seen associated with that have shown 10 or so rattlesnakes underneath the house, which is raised.
