Actually, I believe it is reverse forced perspective, as the stick is being held away from the photigrapher. My sister saw a pretty big one on her porch a couple of years ago, and their houses back up to a nicely wooded creek/gully near Crosby.
No expert but that appears to be a pretty big coral
That is what I replied to her text. Assuming that board is a 1x4 or ~3.5" wide, I was guesstimating 28-30".

Trapped and released another copperhead. This one was very active, big, over 2 feet. Never struck at anything, but really was trying hard to get out of the trap.

No bait, I just put it along the back of the house or a fence line, and the snakes tend to follow along these and find their way inside.
Can you provide a link or details on the minnow trap you've been using?

Found this little snake on the porch tonight (Fort Myers). Thought it was a worm at first. Now I think it's a brahminy blind snake.

I was thinking diamond back water snake. But at least I was right it isn't likely a moccasin.
