Every report out there was that he'd be traded if wasn't extended. I'm not sure why this was a surprise.

Don't get me wrong, I like Gallo a lot and the people I know that know him say he is a really good dude.
But for me he is not the kind of guy the Rangers should give franchise type money too. Maybe I'm still stuck in the old world but man those Ks and the AVG drive me crazy.

Mark was about as mercenary as they come.
