Gallo's side drops the "I really want to stay in Texas, I want to win a championship with this team" to the media.

Rangers counter with a dropping an unnamed source of a large offer being made to Gallo.

So he really wants to be here and he has a huge offer on the table. Weird that a deal isn't done.

Hassell (top 50 prospect, 8th overall pick in 2020) seems to be the return being floated around. Center fielder that's a really good hitter at 19 years old. I'd take that return.

In fairness,

We don't know the entire deal yet. Could be 1-3 exciting guys and 3 jags? Otherwise why make this deal so early and not make the Yankees sweat and up the offer? The front office should only pull the trigger this early because they are blown away by the offer.
