Back to my "gee they wanna sell the team" theory...
After this season, only players on the hook for are Gibson, LeClerc and Arihara, along with dead Elvis and Odor money. Decks are cleared.

Why is today's game not on the Fox Sports Go app? They are showing In the Spotlight - Dennis Eckersley. I have watched every game this season on the app.
The Rangers last 8 runs have all been driven in by home runs.

Losing LeClerc and J. Hernandez has elevated Bush to a spot in the pen that he doesn't really need to be in. But there aren't many other options.

He managed to escape with just HR. Three innings, three HR's allowed isn't good.
What happened to him, has he been hurt? Just looked up his stats and he has nothing for 2019 or 2020.

I'll certainly take a win like today. Facing a legitimate ace in Ryu, the bottom of the Rangers order accounted for 6/8 base hits.
I've always liked Trevino and I hope he continues to hit. He's not a bad defensive catcher either. He's had some clutch hits in his short time with the big club. Culberson finally did something today! I was ragging on him all the way home from the game a few days ago. Hopefully he'll come around too.

It's early season and too early to worry about tanking.
Just hope that the Tatis injury evens the playing field a bit and we can maybe win the series against the Padres. Hopefully tatis feels good as new and 100% after this weekend is over.

Interesting look at the power rankings so far. I saw several things noteworthy.
The rangers are ranked 28 out of 30 in these rankings despite having a .500 ranking. If they win the series against the Padres this weekend, I bet they move up 5 slots.
Minnesota : #4 overall
Cincinnati: #19 overall
Oakland : #18 overall
These rankings are still heavily weighted by both spring training and the moves made in the preseason ( or lack there of) by some teams.

Last year, many ranger fans like myself were dying to see the team make some moves to upgrade the offense. For about 2 months castellanos was the most notable guy out there and JD probably could've got him or he tried. We have Nate Lowe and so far the guy is carrying his weight. It will be interesting to compare the trajectories of both Castellanos and Lowe going forward.Quote:

Re the Oakland blurb: Elvis will not adequately replace Semien and that's not a knock on Elvis...replacing MS was going to be a problem.
