I don't know if it's been mentioned here before but there is yet another cookie company chain coming to town called Cookie Plug. The cookies look really good, but I want to know if you guys think all of these cookie shops will remain in business very long with so much competition? Just the other day someone mentioned that Dirty Dough was opening a location in Bryan and College Station.

It's the 2020s version of the Frozen Yogurt shops in my opinion we had from 2008 to 2018ish
Sometimes… that's the way the cookie crumbles.bcstx06 said:

Is it between Tru Hotel and the BSW clinic ?
We went the last night they were offering matching gift cards with the intention of getting 2. The service was horrendous and the food was average that night. We changed our minds on the cards. Probably just a bad night to eat there.DimeBox17 said:
Tried Poche's Seafood last night. The service was flat out awful but the food was great. Several people working but our guy was the only one who appeared to be struggling. Ordered a couple of cocktails off of their drink menu, both great. Flounder, fried shrimp and gumbo were all very good as well. We'll go back for the food and hope for better service.

Any update on Dirty Dough or Pluckers? Didn't see them on the list above.
According to the paperwork they filed last month, work will start January 4 and is expected to be completed in mid-August.Red Pear Luke (BCS) said:aggie-1997 said:

I'm not so sure about pluckers. cost of construction is pretty darn high
Thanks! Meant to add! Updating.Broncos said:
Pop Stroke is still listed as coming to College Station in 2024 on their website.

Tried this out in Katy today. It was a little chilly but it was packed. Really fun place. Not your typical putt-putt. Katy has 2 courses/36 holes. Each hole is a bit different with hills, sand traps, etc - no clown mouths. Didn't try the food. I could see this being a big success with the college kids. It was $30 a person per day with 20% discount for kids under 12, military, and senior citizens I think. Drinks are bought through an app and brought to you. I didn't drink anything but everybody around us was drinking. There's a big bar in the middle as well where you can buy drinks and watch games. The dining area has tvs everywhere.Broncos said:

In the strip center where Chubbie's, Mr Hamburger are located, a sign is up for Mi Tierra mexican food.
Tortilleria Mi Tierra!
A friend of mine owns this. The original location is on WJB just north of downtown and there is a second location in Caldwell. This is the type of place where you buy fresh corn tortillas by the stack. So good!
Ate there last night, service was good. Not very crowded though.DimeBox17 said:
