I am confused as to why you think it has been some long period of time without any announcement. The property went on the market in the fall of 2022. We are in January of 2023. The gas station on the land has already been cleared. It usually takes months if not years to develop plans, announce them, start construction, etc. There is nothing about the timing so far that would make me think there is some significant roadblock preventing development. I don't think it has even been long enough to hit a roadblock.

There are multiple towers going up in Austin on lots that are almost identical to the one on NG. Thiis one is going up on a similar sized lot, has parking and is 675ft tall. A 20-30 story tower on that NG lot would be an easy proposition.

I am not sure how one store is going to bring over 250 employees. So, if they build eight stores as the article says they may, there are going to be 2,000 TXB gas station employees in BCS? I have been to a store in Georgetown and saw 2-3 employees in there.Quote:

Is the museum that "tells the story of the impact of Texas A&M" the $100 million Natural History Museum the Board of Regents recently approved or an additional museum? I was also not aware that there is a performing arts center in the works.
