I'm more interested in WHO bought the So-Fly. I assume a chain, but I can't think of any candidates that would consider that drive through to be adequate AND have enough money to want to buy out an operational business AND, if it is new to the market, choose that particular building instead of a new build.

Yes, I thought of that, as well. It's annoying to go get something, and they don't have it.
I remember a time when I would go to Cafe Eccel and order a tart for dessert as soon as I sat down to make sure you didn't run out. That was LONG ago.

Where did you get this info from? I don't even see that HEB owns land out there. I've heard that HEB was looking at University and Boonville for some time now, so I want to believe!
City of Bryan donated land to Brazos Transit District to build a parking garage to service Midtown Park. The Transit District is apparently applying for a grant to help with costs. If it happens, the parking garage would have retail and restaurant space on the ground level and potentially space for a hotel.

Agreed. New HEB stores usually come with lots of fanfare, press releases, etc. HEB doesn't appear to own any land out that way and there has been no announcement regarding a new store. I'm extremely skeptical. Hopefully I am wrong though!

Wife works for HEB. In their all company planning meeting last week they did not list any BCS stores planned for the next 18 months. Things can change though, but i wouldn't hold on to hope for anything soon.
