My theory: Jack didn't want Juliet to tell Kate and the rest of the Losties because there is another mole.

That's kinda what I have been thinking. This show is all about mis-direction, lead you down one path and make you think one thing, then slam you into the complete opposite direction. They have pretty much been begging us to believe Jack has been converted, which is why I think he is not. I think he knows what's going on and won't tell anyone so that he doesn't blow it.

ABC is apparenly officially announcing soon that season 5 will be its last. Also, the show will not come back until January next season. This is all old speculation, but apparently its all about to be official.

All good news to me. I don't want the show to drag on for years. I would also love to see the episodes back-to-back, no re-runs.

Awesome. Glad to see I wasn't the only one who laughed when Locke's dad started talking about being helped by the paramedics.

In regards to the "should we tell her?/not yet" conversation with Jack/Juliet...who knows what malarkey Juliet is feeding Jack? She could have told him she's working as a double agent, or some other cockamamie story. Why is he so loyal to her, not even letting Kate talk to him privately?

What's Cindy's deal over the Others? Is there more to her story and why she's such a willing participant, rather than trying to help her fellow plane crash survivors?

Hey, why haven't we brought up Danielle taking the whole crate of dynamite from the Black Rock? What is she planning?

I wondered that as well, LennX.

How long do you want to ignore this user?
Anyone else think it's funny that she just marches in there and grabs a crate and marches off, while the losties took all that time to individually wrap each stick before transporting it and still managed to blow one up accidently.

Don't know if anyone cares about this or not...

The last scene of the season finale has always been pretty shocking. Neither have been spoiled yet as the producers go to great lengths to keep it quiet, including giving it a nickname since only the actors involved know about it.

Season 1- Walt's Kidnapping, was known as "The Bagel"
Season 2- Penny is searching for Desmond, they think they found the island after the hatch explosion was known as "The Challah"

This season's cliffhanger is known as "The Snake in the Mailbox."

so season 3 will be known as "The Matzo"?

Was originally going to be "The Matzo," but it was changed to "The Snake in the Mailbox."

Forty-eight more episodes.

That's exactly how much more time we will be able to spend with our good friends Kate, Jack and Sawyer after this month's season finale, according to an official release from ABC this morning.

Lost will continue for three more seasons of 16 episodes each.

I'm told by multiple sources inside ABC that the initial plan was to do two more seasons of Lost, with 24 episodes each; however, because of international deals already in place, Lost's producers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse agreed to divvy up those remaining 48 episodes over three seasons. (A TV season must be a minimum of 16 episodes.)

So, essentially, we are getting two more seasons' worth of episodes strewn out over three seasons. The remaining seasons will be just like this year-minus the first six-episode block. And they will be shot over three years to prevent spoilers from leaking out too early.

I'm told that when we see the "game-changer," which the show's writing team is calling "the snake in the mailbox," at the end of the May 23 season finale, we will understand why the show cannot go longer than 48 more episodes.

They're going to do it in 2 days, a la 24. So the next 3 seasons will take place in 2 days.

20ag, we had this discussion a few pages back talking about what snake in the mailbox meant - and if it related to the "Cobra" reference from "Expose."

After winning the Emmy for Best Drama after season 1, Lost wasn't even nommed for season 2. This year they are submitting "The Man from Tallahassee" (Locke's flashback) which is probably one of the best yet. Should get them in the race this year.

If they do a "game-changer" as in other JJ Abrams shows, then in one day, the Losties will kill off every other and they will find a whole other group of "others" to be the nemesis. Oh, they won't kill off Ben... he will join them as an ally, because he was a good guy the whole time. [/Alias]

20Ag07-

To win an emmy, they select one episode to be judged.

What a stupid way to be judged. So a dumb show, with one excellent episode can beat another show that consistently brings it?

20ag07
How long do you want to ignore this user?
One episode to get a nomination. Then the 5 nominees submit 6 episodes. It is pretty dumb...Scrubs has a good chance of winning the comedy race this year because the musical episode was good, even though the rest of the season has been complete crap.

Some very rough math:

"The Brig" was the 19th episode of Season 3 (66th overall). That puts the Losties 91 days on the island.

Thats roughly 1.4 days per an episode.

3 more episodes this season plus 48 in Seasons 4-6 and we are talking approximately 72 days remaining in the series.

What does that do to Jun's pregancy? Will she be dead by then?

We're currently on Day 91, which is equivalent to December 21st, 2004.

The 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami occured on December 26th, 2004.

If they are near the Indian Ocean...

I believe they are in the Pacific, east of Australia.

But, the timing of the tsunami coincides with the season finale.

We'll see.

You're totally right. She said that 815 was found in a trench off of Bali, but she had flown to the island from a ship. So we still have no idea where they are at.

Good call.

ok redoing my statement.

The tsunami happens on the season cliffhanger. at the end of the show you see the wave coming at them. next season the ISLAND stops it somehow.

How long do you want to ignore this user?
Flight 815 would have had to have gone WAY, WAY off course for the island to have any effects from the '04 Tsunami. And I agree that it would be too soon. But it would be cool.
cone
How long do you want to ignore this user?

it would be too soon to say the tsunami was caused by events on the show

it would not be too soon IMO to have a killer wave coming their way

but i'd bet they won't even address it
