Great episode! Here are a few things I noticed -

The voice that says "Previously on LOST" I am now 100% sure is Tim "Joe Hackett" Daly. Not that it matters, but he was on "Eyes" and now "The 9" (both post LOST shows) and it has always bothered me that he did the LOST intro...

Jack has some new tattoos on his left arm. They were of stars and you could only see them in a few scenes leading me to believe me that they filmed the opening over an extended period of time. I know that they have come out and said that the characters tattoos have nothing to do with the story line and to read nothing into them. However, if he came back to re-shoot some scenes it could mean that Jack may be leaving us soon - this is just a random thought that I had last night and in no way a spoiler.

I’m glad they mentioned the sharks, after seeing the Dharma symbol on the shark in season 2 I was hoping they would bring that back soon and not forget about it (like the Russian in the Sopranos).

By showing the CDs in comparison to the LPs in the hatch it shows the relative time differences between the Dharma and the Others arrival to the island.

Juliet is hot.

that is totally weird. I'm definitely watching again tonight. And I think someone mentioned it on here already, but I also noticed Sarah smirking when she got up to walk away from Jack in the lawyer's office.

Seems strange...

i saw this theory somewhere else... but what if Sarah left Jack b/c it turns out... she is one of Jack's Dad's funbabies... ie, they found that out and had to end things with Jack, but didn't want him to know... and thats why she wouldn't tell him who her new boy was... its not who he is... its who you aren't...

There has to be something that makes these folks genetically stronger/faster. Remember the opening when Goodwin was told to run, he should be able to make it to that side of the island within an hour.

FYI - We were trying to figure out where'd we had seen Juliet before - she was Mrs. Clause with Tim Allen and she was Dr. Kari Weaver's "partner" on ER

Really liked the beginning where you could tell it was a magnetic force actually pulling the plane apart.

So was Jack's Dad hitting his wife??

My only thought as to the little girl in the background is that it's likely a deleted scene. We know the others took the children from the plane, so they have some use for them that we're yet to see, so perhaps this was one of them.

Also, after looking for it I couldn't see the above girl in the show.

However, about 6 minutes before the show is over, when Jack is getting up after being knocked out it looks like there is a green sleeve (matching the above picture) in the left corner of the screen.

No clue what it all means however.

This is an interesting theory. I was trying to interrupt her "Its who you aren't comment" and you can take that so many different ways.

Also, Jack has always had tattoos. I don't pay attention to them, but if you really think some new ones appeared on him during the episode, I wouldn't worry about it too much. There is no way Jack leaves the show. No way.

No. We saw the guy she was cheating with.

The theory that Jack and his wife were siblings is just nuts. There's no substance to it.

As for the "It's who you aren't comment," I think people are reading too much into it. Jack couldn't be the person she wanted to be with.

Jack has ALWAYS had those tats. He even talked with Sawyer about them. We will be finding out about what they mean later on.

This is odd. That picture is NOT pic 33 any more. It's not on their site.

Per lostpedia, that shot is NOT in the episode. It appears there was a hallucination sequence with Jack seeing things from his past that was largely cut. I suppost the intercom is a remnant of that.




Jack was working on a crossword puzzle in his car at one point.

The little girl is from a scene they cut earlier, he saves a girl at his wifes school, and they cut that, cutting the scene on the island.

I agree the punch thing was "Hollywood”. I hate that kind of stuff.

“Who you aren’t” I though, from earlier shows, was Jack was never at home and always at work. Basically he wasn’t a husband.

The others don’t seem to worried about the magnet thing exploding in the final episode from last season.

I was surprised Kate didn’t tell Ben/Henry to take a hike when he told her to put the cuffs on.

When will we find out about Desmonds girlfriend?

i rewatched the beginning last night... and i found it interesting that there was an apparent earthquake (from the button not being pushed) but when everyone ran outside... they were immediately looking up...

it was clear they couldn't see the plane right away b/c it was a few seconds before the plane came into view... and everyone was looking around the sky in different directions...

so... were they expecting a plane or something to happen in the sky?

At first I thought that made it seem more random... but once i noticed them looking up before there was a reason to look up, it made me think they were expecting something.

Okay, I have a question: All these others seem like psychologists or possibly psychiatrists. Now to get a group of them together to go live on an island is a little goofy but I wouldn't put it past a bunch of shrinks. Here's the question. They are also all willing to participate in criminal activity, kidnapping, murder, attempted murder, research on human beings. Are these people also criminals? Perhaps criminals turned into psychologists? Also where are the kids? Moreover, where does one get a bunch of American accented criminals turned psychologists? tu?

henry also acted like he had been planning this for a long time when he started assigning people to each crash site so i i'm pretty sure somehow they did know this was going to happen.

this is by far the best freakin show on tv.

I don't think the Others were expecting a plane to crash. Surely they knew about the magnetic field thing, and I know they could hear the plane in the sky, even if they couldn't see it at first.

Ben/Henry Gale is just a quick thinking leader that made a plan in the moment.

The initial thought I had about the mystery guy in the cell next to Sawyer was that it was Rousseou's son that she referred to way back in Season 1. She had lost him to the others when he was a baby somewhere around 15 years ago.

OK, one thing no one has mentioned yet. When Jack was going to kill Juliet, Benry didn't seem to care. Also, when Jack opened up the door that would cause him to drown, Benry also locked the door with Juliet left inside to die with Jack.

Thoughts??

Man, I seriously hope they address what happened to that French girl's son, Alex, in the next couple of episodes. That plot line is driving me crazy!

I think the theory that he was the boy in the cage is a pretty good one. I didn't think about that!
