Southeastern Conference announces Texas A&M's 2025 football schedule
True, the 2024 campaign isn’t officially over until Mike Elko and the Aggies take on USC on Dec. 27 in the SRS Distribution Las Vegas Bowl.
However, the Southeastern Conference has already announced the league games for the 2025 season.
The schedules were announced on Wednesday night.
It was already known that A&M’s SEC opponents would be the “reverse” of the 2024 slate. For example, the Aggies met the Texas Longhorns at Kyle Field this November, so next year, the Maroon & White will travel to Austin...that Nov. 29 showdown will be A&M’s first trip to the state capital since 2010.
A&M’s season-opener features UTSA’s first trip to Aggieland since 2019. Other non-conference dates include the return to South Bend to face Notre Dame (Sept. 13) and home games vs. Utah State (Sept. 6) and Samford (Nov. 22).
After a 21-17 A&M triumph at AT&T Stadium this year, the “Southwest Classic” vs. Arkansas shifts back to campus, with A&M venturing to Fayetteville on Oct. 18. It will be the Ags’ first trip to Northwest Arkansas since 2013 and just the third since 1990.
Conference home games at Kyle Field feature dates with Mississippi State (Oct. 4) and Florida (Oct. 11), as well as opportunities for revenge against Auburn (Sept. 27) and South Carolina (Nov. 15).
After a November to forget in 2024, the final month of the regular season sees A&M play four games in four weeks, beginning at Mizzou (Nov. 8), vs. South Carolina and Samford before concluding in Austin.
Lastly, for the Aggies foolishly planning fall 2025 weddings, A&M’s open dates fall on Sept. 20 and Nov. 1. Plan accordingly...if you must.
