When Des was explaining to Charlie his vision of Claire being rescued, I was thinking maybe that he was trying to trick Charlie into swimming down there to do it because it was him (Desmond) that was rescued in his vision, and not Claire. He just said Claire because he knew that would insure that Charlie would go through with it.
Desmond volunteering at the end to do it may be him wavering again. Doesn't seem like, considering the previews, this could happen but I say if Charlie dies it will be Desmond that is rescued and not Claire.
Also, we rewatched last weeks episode and I picked up on something else about Richard. I don't think anybody else has mentioned it but toward the beginning of the episode, Ben says to Richard, "you do remember what birthdays are, don't you?" That makes me think that him not looking like he's aged isn't a mistake, that it will be explained at some point...another mystery of the island.
Also, is the rabbit that Ben had as a child the same rabbit that he took to show Sawyer the other island? The rabbit isn't aging either? Or more likely there are just a lot of rabbits on the island.
