That was like a twilight zone episode

I take back my previous complaint about the introduction of Nikki and Paulo...that was worth it.

Kudos on integrating them into those plane crash scenes as well...pretty impressive.

very unique for a Lost episode. It was kinda nice. Glad they all aren't like that though. It does go to show that the writers/producers do have this thing thought out...some of the things in previous episodes (Palo in the ****ter, etc.).

They've obviously had this episode in mind since the beginning, as seen by the Paolo/Nikki POV scenes from the plane crash. I liked that part of the reason for hte episode was kind of a recap

How can you say there was no advancement of the storyline? Everything advances the story line in this show, it just isn't obvious til later sometimes.

This episode was a good example of how almost everything, even the seemingly meaningless stuff, is related to some story line on the show.

No way in hell Locke telling him that things don't stay buried on the island was just a coincidence.

I think this pretty much confirms that the smoke monster and the magic box Ben talked about last week are most likely the same thing.

The smoke monster has now been manifested into several things that people "wanted" to see.

Not really. They were added later. This was clearly just a filler episode.

I agree with the person who said there was no advancement of the storyline. This episode was pointless, and is just more evidence in how far this series has fallen.

Oh, so they just went back and refilmed the entire crash scene just to get shots of Paolo and Nikki in it? I doubt it

Filler episodes have been around since season 1...it just didn't seem to bother people as much back then. The previous two episodes were pretty plot advancing...and for a plot filler this was pretty interesting (and wiped out two worthless characters to boot).

I don't think the spiders were anything from the "magic box" that anyone wanted to see. Arzt said it was a female and that if she was out of her jar all the males would come running. Once Nikki let her out, all the dudes came over to investigate.

We did get some story advancing/answers. We found out that Ben and Juliet were in the observation hatch. We also found out why they wanted Kate and Sawyer along with Jack to come back. We also saw a little bit of Ben without the front he usually puts up around the survivors.

I would say there haven't been any "best episodes ever" this season. There have been one, maybe two average episodes. The rest sucked. It's no wonder Lost ratings have been way down this season.

I just rewatched it and didn't notice the monster noise. Of course I'm watching on an ancient VCR instead of a DVR, so that might have something to do with it. When it shows the spiders it sounds like they're playing some spidery sounding music, but it didn't sound mechanical to me like the monster thing does.
