Addedndum: I just checked IMDB, and it had her listed as playing a part on one of last years episodes. However, I seem to remember a different actress playing the role.

So what is the deal? Two more episodes then a LONG break? I heard it's continuing in 2007.

PLOT HOLE;

Sawyer was in prison for 6-years (the Warden said his 6-year sentence was commuted). How does he have an infant child he's been in for 6-years?

the REMAINING 6 years were removed

How much of his six year sentance had he served at that point?

Earlier in the show Sawyer said how long he had been in. I think it was 6 months...when talking to the guy he conned out of the 10 mil, he said something along the lines of "for the last 6 months the warden's been making my life a living hell."

9 months.

Random thoughts:

1) Sawyer is still the man. Really like his character and glad they didn't screw his storyline up like they did Locke's last week.

2) Sawyer is a horny mofo. I don't know about you guys, but I think somebody dragging me out of a locked cage and beating the piss out of me in a rage that gave every indication he was about to kill me would raise my heart rate a tad bit higher than seeing a chick's bare back. Of course it was Kate's bare back, so maybe I'm wrong.

3) I kept thinking the end of the episode was going to be Sawyer kicking Henry's arse because he noticed his heart rate during the beat down going over 140. I was positive this was going to be the ending after Sawyer was seen reading "Of Mice and Men." Of course, Benry turns that all around by quoting it verbatim at the end of the episode. That might be pure brilliance on the part of the writers - make it look like the best laid plans of the Others was going to go awry, when what the book really meant was that Sawyer needed somebody no matter how hard he tried to deny it.

4) I knew they did not implant a pacemaker in his heart after Juliet said that a) she wasn't a surgeon; and b) they did not have a working defibulator (sp?). I thought this episode really let down the curtain a little bit on the Others. They are not all-powerful and they are struggling to get by, too. Henry Gale seems to still be the wizard, but events may slowly be moving more and more outside of his control and influence. The last scene with Sawyer certainly seemed to suggest he was using every ploy he had.

5) Anybody else notice the pirate at the end of the previews? And it would appear the Gale needs Jack, a lot. Where does Sawyer fit into all of this? I think we are going to see things move beyond the Others influence more and more in the remaining three episodes. It looks a like a third player is about to come into play on the island.

6) Can anyone explain the broken intercom? Alex, perhaps? What about the whispers in the woods when the Others are near?

This is greatness.

I was thinking it was to show that Sawyer conned his way out of capitivity once before, and then to differentiate that experience with his current experience where he was actually the one being conned.

A few points:

1. I'm surprised nobody has speculated on the X-Rays that Jack caught wind to, especially after it was revealed there is a huge tumor on someone's spine. Any guesses as to whom this mystery person will turn out to be? My money's on Ben.
2. In trying to figure out where this island is, I went back to look at the map of the island that Locke saw in the blacklight and there was an interesting revelation. As a reminder, that picture can be found here. Pay attention to the lower right corner - where it says "Possible Zoological Research Facility" and where gene therapy on polar bears took place. Anyways, I don't think the island is off in the right corner of the island - but it was just interesting to note that was on there.

Film Mistakes:
So it is dark and pouring down when Kate is getting out of her cage and approaches Sawyer, and then it magically becomes sunny again? Oops!

Anyone know the name of the actor who plays Paolo? The new Lostie with the golf clubs in last night's episode. He looks so familiar and I know I've seen him in other stuff, but I can't place him. HELP!!

Sorry, I didn't see the preview. I only caught the episode from last night.

Jack must be one hell of a doctor to see an xray and to be able to tell the age of the person.

I think Jack mentioned that he is a spinal surgeon, hence his expertise at reading the x-ray of the spine.

My guess is that the xray is Locke. kind explains the islands healing powers, and his problem will increase now that the hatch is kaput.

also, that new lost guy made something of a clairvoyant statement to desmond, disucssing when he is going to die. Is Des not the only one with the ability to see into the future?

The "pirate" in the preview was wearing an eyepatch. I wonder if that somehow relates to the glass eye found at the beginning of season 2?

I speculate that the video of the pirate, is just that, a video. It looks like footage from inside the Swan. Now, since the Swan has imploded...could that be old footage they are watching?

*The glass eye was found in the Arrow.
*The missing footage of the Swan orientation film was found in the Arrow (in a Bible I think.)
*Kelvin said Razinsky(sp?) was the one who edited the orientation film.

Did Razinsky lose his glass eye while hiding the film splice in the Arrow?
