quote:
ben's prediction tonight..."if you phone her boat, every single living person on this island will be killed."
Notice that the wording of this did not say when they would be killed.
I'm thinking that perhaps the person that died was the last of the 40 or so survivors that died since they got rescued. Since they've been rescued each one has been killed and he's heard about each one... Newspaper said "body found in park"... usually indicates foul play (could be suicide but who commits suicide in a park).
And Jack and Kate (and maybe Sawyer if that was who Kate was referring to at when she said "he'll be wondering where I am"
are the last 3 still left alive.
Thus Ben's prediction is coming true and that is why Jack is so upset... everyone keeps calling him a "hero", but everyone he "rescued" is dying because he rescued them. Add in the further irony of his 2nd "hero" status for rescuing a woman and son who only got hurt because they saw him on the bridge.
The person in the coffin is not necessarily important... it's just important because that only leaves Jack and Kate (and possibly Sawyer) left alive.
Or maybe none of that.
