in the recap show at 8:00PM, about 40-minutes in, they're reviewing the "Hatch". Hurley is in the food room and drinking out of a carton of Milk. Walt is on the back of the carton. How did Walt get there? It's only been a few weeks at that point.

That took place during a fantasy sequence.
We all *****ed and moaned about the show taking a long break...but it was a pretty great idea. After tonight, I'm ready for 16 straight. And I'd much rather have the 6 in the fall then come back in Feb, as opposed to sitting out the entire fall and coming back in Jan, like 24.
Great episode...2 months off and it made me feel like I never missed a beat.

Was Juliet's research on her "sister"...really on her brother? I mean there was a lot of hype for her "sister" becoming pregnant - a lot more than usual, even if she was sick. Furthermore, Juliet's interest was peaked when "Dr. Albers" (I believe that was his name...the recruiting guy anyways) mentioned something about a male field mouse being impregnated. Now what this accomplishes, I still have yet to figure out.
It was cool seeing the show from the perspective of an "Other." I found myself returning to the old days of Lost...constantly guessing throughout the show as to what the heck is going on. At least they did give us some answers, and acknowledge in a very real way the outside presence of an organization that is potentially (and realistically) pulling the strings of "The Others."

Juliet's sister certainly looked like a woman, and her ex husband referred to her as a woman, so I'm guessing she is indeed a woman.

All of the fertility research explains why the kids were taken from the tail-section first maybe? Also know why they wanted Claire.

I'm not sure about the anagram, but I do remember Thomas MITTELwerk being evil executive that held Alvar Hanso captive during the Lost Experience this summer.

Great episode. Just hated that when the Other was explaining to Jack about why they couldn't take Ben somewhere else was cut off. That was a great tease.

It is possible that Juliette's sister had ovarian or some similar cancer that prevented her from having children. That would explain why she was still "sick" and why her being pregnant was such a big deal.

i bet she has ovarian or cervical cancer. that scene when dude was hit but he bus was completely shocking. i'll never get used to that, no matter how many times it's recycled.
i originally didn't watch the 8pm episode, but i went back and did after the fact and it was the best of those types of episodes ever. really helped tie everything together. i was so surprised that so much happened. it was like a lost episode from season 1.

my observations of the night
- most gratifying image of the night:
he'd been an ass since before his wife died and i've been wanting him to get it for a while. Sawyer's no saint, but that guy just sucked and deserved to get shot.
- i think the fetus that juliet saw was her sister's. Ethan was with him later on, and he was seen in a lab coat at the very beginning of the episode
- i think they did a great job of bringing us back in. definitely had the feel of a season premier or finale.
-I like the ballsier jack. he'd been kinda frustrating to me up to the last few episodes and has really shown a sack since being in captivity.
-I don't think kate's sold on sawyer. i think she is thought she would lose him at the time and that controlled her actions.
-I think that the job Juliet takes and following that part of the back story will answer a lot of questions, which is what they've done a lot of this season. What I hope is that the answered questions don't just lead us to new ones. I think they are bringing this to a close (not this season or the next necessarily), but I do believe they have this all planned out.

I have to agree with Royal1, it looks like Juliette's sister has gone through Chemotherapy. She looked as if she lost her hair was kind of bed ridden.
Also, did anyone else notice the "Other" walking out of her sister's apartment when Juliette was walking in at the beginning of the show?

Ethan was the Other in the hallway of the building when Juliette was going to see her sister. I don't think he was coming out of the apartment.
Seeing Ethan at the beginning gave me chills.

i'm not expecting this, but it sure would be a ballsy twist...and probably one that would backfire in the public.
