My take on the island, Dharma, and other things


The Island has been bring people/ causing them to crash for hundreds of years. In the 1960's someone was finally able to get off the island somehow. Whoever this person reported to started collecting the first stages of Dharma.

Dharma saw that the island was hidden, but also increased the human potential so they decided to set up human and animal research on the island. Maybe for Medical Research to bottle the stuff that causes people to be stronger, faster, (maybe smarter), and heals them.

At some point in the 80s/90s things began to disintegrate with real "Dharma" but Ben and some other people decided they wanted to take the next step in human evolution. Breed people there. But they couldn't, in comes Juliette

The island brings the plane, Ben wants a list of potenial breeders and such and then has his friends fake the plane crashing somewhere else.

I can go with that Brennus.

My biggest question, or one of, is what's with the black smoke, voices, and patchy not dieing. The field wasn't fake, he looked like he died, and the black smoke ran into it.

Although why couldn't the black smoke monster go over the field just like Kate, Locke,....did?

I missed what happened when Sun visited her husband's dad. What was discovered?

Also, did she end up giving the old lady the money?

I had too much going on at once to keep up with those 2 parts.

When she visited Jin's dad, she learned that the fisherman doesn't know if he's actually Jin's father. He told her that Jin's mother slept with tons of men and just dropped the baby off one day. He wanted Jin to have a father, so he took care of him.

He made Sun promise not ever to tell Jin that she met him. That lady she gave the money to was Jin's mom. Sun threatened to have the lady killed if she ever bothered them again.

The one Elaine brought Mr. Costanza to see so he could translate her Korean gossip. Of course, it ended badly...

I think it has something to do with the electro-magnetism of the island screws up compasses/plane systems.

A&M, we may have won our last MNC in 1939; but we are the only school to kidnap every mascot in the SWC

To expand further on Brennus' theory, I believe the island is only accessible by entering at a specific location where the electromagnetic energy is diminished. (Maybe an extremely deep underwater canyon?)

I support this theory with the fact that Ben specifically told Mike & Walt how to leave the island via a compass heading. Desmond tried to sail away but never made it through the "slot."

Now, whether aircraft can approach the island safely is another question. I say yes, because I believe the DHARMA food drops come by plane. But, the DHARMA pilot knows exactly how to approach and leave the island or flies at an extremely high altitude.

Sawyer is definitely going to kill Locke’s Dad, Cooper, “The Real Sawyer.” Abc promos wants you to think it is Ben they are going after.

I also sure Sayid is gonna interrogate the parachutist girl and find out she is lying!

I wouldn’t be surprised if Juliet is double-crossing Ben as well and Jack is helping. That is the only explaination why Jack has been utterly blind and dumb the past epsiodes.

I'm not Dave, but can answer your question...

"Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse were on the Preston & Steve Morning Show in Philadelphia. During the show they revealed that the four toed statue is very important but won't be addressed until season 4, Walt or Michael will also make an appearance by the end of this season."

I agree. They spoke with the guy who played Michael and he said he wasn't coming back...at least this season. It may be another image of Walt, similar to what Shannon saw last season.
