Something to keep in mind- they "found" the plane, but that doesn't mean they actualy found the plane. Clearly there is a conspiracy to make the rest of the world think they are dead. Sure it would probably be a huge ordeal to fake finding it...but there is something big going on here, and it appears someone might have the means to do this.

Why is Rousseau suddenly hanging out at the Black Rock? I thought she was too freaked out to go near there since her party caught the "disease" when they went there 16 years ago.

Next week is titled "The Man Behind the Curtain." Do we meet Jacob? This is also the 2nd Wizard of Oz reference I remember (the first being Ben originally calling himself Henry Gale). Does this mean anything?

This may have been covered or discussed already, but what was with the cable that Hurley pulled on just before Naomi crashed? What's the connection there?

I'm confused to why people think you can't use a parachute to jump out of a helicopter? My buddies do it all the time here in the military. I'm sure I'm missing some details.

People may jump out of helicopters on purpose because it is big one meant for inserting paratroopers into a location.

But for the pilot to unstrapped while in a full pilot uniform with helmet and oxygen mask, then "grab her chute" (her words), strap it on, then open her door and jump out and be high to have her parachute open in time... it's just a little implausible.

Who says there weren't more people on the chopper than just the pilot? Did I miss something? Do we know that those on the Copter couldn't or didn't swim to shore?

The girl said she wasn't alone to the Russian guy.

I am not sure why she didn't mention it last night though.

Who did Ben say was taking the video of Julia's sister? I remember Ben told him to get back to the island but I can't remember the name. Was it Richard (the guy who gave the file to Locke), or someone else?

Finally! It feels like we are moving along again.

Is it just me or do the so called "great" episodes get less discussion than the "weak" and "filler" episodes?

I liked this episode. I liked that the flashbacks were still on the island.

A fedw things:

They showed a few children watching Locke fail at killing his father. We can only assume that they were brought to the island.

It will also be interresting to see how Swayer deals with telling the Losties about Juliet and if he will reveal that Locke was paralized before the came to the island.

Finally, Lockes dad was tied to a GIANT column, will this connect back to the foot that Log brought up yesterday? (They better not be on Atlantis)

We don't have to assume anything about them. They kidnapped all the kids from the tail section.

I thought they came on a little strong with the Locke = Christ imagery last night. The public humiliation, Locke as a "savior" for the Others w/ his miracles, carrying his dad's body = Christ bearing his cross, among others.

I'm not sure if I'm reading too much into it, though...

Not to mention that his name is John Locke and the historical figures relationship with the Enlightenment period of history.

Could you provide a synopsis of what hapened after Sawyer figured out Locke's father was the real Sawyer after hearing the alias "Tom Sawyer" I live in Dallas and my satellite went out with the power at that time.

Present - Kill Sawyer
Sawyer stares down Anthony.

"What's the matter with you?" Anthony says.

"You ever been to Jasper, Alabama?" Sawyer says through clenched teeth.

"Why?"

"Have you or haven't you?"

"Yeah, I've been to Jasper." He smirks. "Don't tell me I'm your daddy."

"No, you killed my daddy." Sawyer pulls the letter from his back pocket and hands it to Anthony. "Read it."

"Dear, Mr. Sawyer. What is this?"

"Just read it."

"You don't know who I am, but I know who you are. And I know what you done. You had sex with my mother and then you stole my dad's money all away. So he got angry and he killed my mother and then he killed himself. Blah, blah, blah, blah. So what? Is this supposed to be you? You wrote this letter? Hey, wait a minute. Did you take my name because you were on some sort of revenge kick?"

"Keep reading."

"Easy, easy. Don't get all worked up. Look, I ran that con two dozen times, if your mother was one of the--"

"Mary," Sawyer says.

"Mary, from Jasper, Alabama." He smiles. "Yeah, I remember her. She practically begged me to take the $38,000 and to rescue her from her sorry little life."

"You finish the letter."

"Look, I only took her money. It ain't my fault your dad overreacted. If he pulled the old murder suicide, I'm sure he's down here somewhere. You can take this up with him."

"Finish it!" Sawyer yells.

"Okay. Okay!" Anthony rips up the letter.

Sawyer grabs him and chokes him. "You want to go to Hell? You want to go to Hell?"

Sawyer holds him until he stops breathing, then throws him down.

Locke opens the door. "Thank you."
Present - Kate the Keeper of Secrets
Juliet gnaws on something on the beach and Jack asks if she's missing the cheeseburgers yet.

"Only every second," she says.

Kate walks over. "Hey."

"Hey," Jack says.

"I need to talk to you."

"Okay."

"In private."

"No problem." Juliet starts to get up and Jack stops her.

"Anything you want to say to me," Jack says, "you can say in front of her."

"Not this," Kate says.

"It's okay," Juliet says.

"No, no, no, no," Jack says, "you can stay."

"She's the reason that no one wants to tell you that there's a woman in Hurley's tent who parachuted onto the island yesterday."

"What!"

"A woman. She jumped from her chopper before it crashed. She said that the boat that she took off from was about 80 miles off the coast and if she can find a way to contact it, we'll all be rescued."

"Why didn't anyone tell me this?" he asks.

"Nobody told you, because they don't trust you."

Jack and Juliet look at each other, then Jack looks at Kate and says. "How? How is she supposed to contact her boat?"

"Did you just hear what I said?" Kate asks. "Hurley, Charlie, Sayid, your friends, are afraid to--"

"Kate! How?"

"She had a phone radio thing. Sayid's trying to get it to work."

Jack gets up.

"We should tell her," Juliet says.

"No," Jack says.

"Tell me what?" Kate says.

"We should tell her," Juliet says.

"Not yet." Jack walks away.
Present - Warn Camp
Sawyer goes out of the Black Rock and throws up.

"You can go back now," Locke says.

"Why did you do this?"

"He ruined my life and he ruined yours. And he had it coming. Juliet is a mole. She's working for Ben. He sent her to find out which of our women are pregnant. Three days from now there's going to be raid on the beach and they're going to take them. They say they don't want anyone to get hurt."

"Why are you telling me?"

"So you can warn the camp."

"You warn the camp!"

"I'm not going back."

"You're going back undercover?"

"I was never undercover, James. I'm on my own journey now."

"Even if Juliet is a mole, they're not going to believe me. I've been saying that since she showed up."

Locke hands Sawyer the tape recorder. "They'll believe you now."

"Hey," he says as Locke steps away, "is it true?"

"Is what true?"

"That he threw you out a window? That you were a cripple?"

"Not anymore."

Locke goes and gets his father's bagged body. With a determined look, he carries it away.

Did anyone else say, "look, it's Locke and Rouseau in the same boat?"

Add super human strength to Locke's physical abilities now. Even though Sawyer whipped him like he was a little girl.

Locke's dead daddy has got to weigh at least 220 pounds. Now Locke is gonna transport his dead corpse, on his back, over rough terrain while tracking Ben and the Others?

If I was Locke, I would have gone "Clash of the Titans" on him, lopped off his head and thrown it in a burlap sack. What was it that little dork from Jerry Maguire said all the time? "The human head weighs eight pounds."

Newsflash, John Locke. 8 lbs < 220 lbs...

But, I digress. Now that Locke's achilles heel (his derelict daddy) is neutralized, I expect Johnboy to come on strong. In fact, when all these knuckleheads finally get rescued, I bet Locke stays behind to commune with the island.

Good episode though.

Great episode last night, and next week's looks awesome too. (Not to be Debbie Downer, but I really think there's enough going on in the Lost world that each week could be like this. Oh well, a guy can dream.)

And, if they kill Kate, I will cry. That simple.

If he cut off the head, then we would find it really unbelievable when his dad shows up in Season 4 alive again.

i'd say it's either Locke, Desmond, or Hurley

There is supposedly a bloodbath coming...I am starting to get the feeling that neither Ben nor Juliet make the season out alive. Which is sad, because both actors have been great.
