Of the lost folks, who is from New york?? The newspaper was the LA times but the person who died is from new york, I mean the individual in the casket??
I didn't like that kiss Julliet gave Jack.
The newspaper was from April 5, 2007. The crash was, what, September 22, 2004? I'm starting to wonder if the flashed will start working backwards from April 5 with each subsequent episode, and the method of extraction from the island won't be revealed until the very end.
Either way, interesting that Nirvana was playing on the radio, as Cobain died on April 5, 1994.

After having everything soak in for the last few hours, my question is what is Walt's role in everything? The Other's wanted him specifically, and it seems that he and Locke has some sort of "bond". Does he work for Jacob? I remember in Season one that he had some special powers...will that somehow play in to the future seasons?
Walt is definitely powerful. My question is -- are only certain pepole on the island allowed/or have the ability to 'super' heal? I mean, we know the Losties have killed numerous Others and with the exception of Mikhail, they're all REALLY dead.
And we know the Losties die, because Libby & Ava were shot & killed.
So is it just Locke & Mikhail that have this amazing super healing capacity? Though if the Russian comes back after holding an exploding grenade in his hand underwater, I am going to be a wee bit annoyed.

I bring this up again because nobody commented on this possibility. Another site is speculating the name may be "Jeremy Bentham" (either an alias or a character we have yet to meet). When looking up Jeremy Bentham here at wiki you learn that he was an English philosopher who designed a type of prison known as a panopticon. This could definitely point to a new character we have yet to meet who has been observing everyone on the island from afar, Jacob, or Ben. Just an interesting thought.
That wasn't REALLY Walt. It was the smoke monster. Just like Jack's dad, Kate's horse, Walt coming to Shannon, Eko's brother, and every other wierd thing that shows up. The creators of the show confirmed all this last week on the "Answers" show.

A few things: Hurley is out as a mole, but in as a badass! Way to go Hurley!
All three seasons have ended with a boat as a point of reference. Season one Walt is taken off the boat. Season 2 Walt and Michael leave the island on a boat. Season 3 we are introduced to who I am calling the Boaties.
Because we did not see Walt with Locke when he met up with the Losties, I think that Locke was seeing Walt int he same way that other people have seen their father, a horse and so on.
Ben is going to end up being right about the Boaties and gaining the respect of the Losties. It looks as if both groups of people on the island are now nomads (Losties left the beach, Others left their village). This would make it easy for them join up to fight the Boaties.
When Jack referenced his father, I think he was making a point about what he is dealing with. We are not meant to assume that his father is still alive.
Patchy cant be killed. Hes been shot twice (gun and spear gun), shocked by the fence and set a grenade off in his hand underwater. He will be around for a while.
We still dont know about the giant foot, I was really hoping that we would start to get into that this season.

Walt could make things happen. When he was with his mother, they showed him reading a book about birds, and then suddenly a bird flew into the window & died.
Then, he found that Spanish comic book after the crash and it had a picture of a polar bear on the front of it and then BOOM! There's a polar bear on the island.

I think she was referring to Sawyer, or, possibly their child...They definitely left the door wide open for her to be pregnant. Longshot, but it's possible

Yep. We know Juliet planned to check on Kate to see if she was prego, but I don't think she got the chance.

Some people are saying the person Jack hit in the car was Julliet's sister, and it was her kid that waved at him before Jack left the hospital.

Unbelievable episode, I recorded the show and will watch again tonight more closely and look for things that I missed.
Why didn't the blond chick just jump into the water after Mikial shot the first one? She actually tried to run away and got half way down the length of the sub bay before he shot her.
Kate told Jack she had to get back "before he knows I'm gone" so I don't think it's a kid she is refering too.
It could be Sawyer in the casket. Remember his name is really James...(what's his last name? do we know?).
