I was all prepared to watch the show tonight, like any other Wed, totally forgetting the hiatus. Then I look at the TV listings just to see what I can kill time on til 8, when I see DayBreak listed. Oh, the dejection that just swept over my entire body at that sight.

Watched all of season one and two on dvd and the last episode at the abc site the other day. I am ready.

No, she wasn't. Nadia and Locke DID meet though when he inspected her new home.
In the brainwashing film one of the frames says "God loves you as he loved Jacob."
Jacob is an Other we either have not seen or has not been identified. We know he made one of the lists of "good" people.

The sound is driving me insane but the episode is awesome so far

Wait so....Alex's parents are Ben and Danielle? I don't get it...how...so Danielle just made up everything? Was she part of the Others then went crazy or something?
we don't know that Ben is her real dad...possibly the others kidnapped Alex and Ben raised her.

I don't think Ben is her biological father. She was kidnapped as an infant so she would have no way of knowing.
WOW, what a great episode. We've never gotten this many answers at once before :
The Others are still VERY likely part of Dharma.
The connection they have to the outside world is very real.
They obviously recruit fertility scientists - it's likely they recruit from the other fields Dharma researches as well.
At least some of the Others do NOT remain on the island by choice.
Mr. Friendly really is friendly.
Jack is a crappy surgeon.
Either Juliette has powers similar to Walt or the Dharma people will go to any lengths to recruit the people they need.
But man, this raises so many questions too :
Why allow people to live on the island at all if it is a CURRENT research facility?
If there is easy contact with the outside world, why has so much of the project fallen into total disarray?
What was Juliette's fertility research about?
If Ben doesn't make decisions alone, what is the command structure like?
What has happened in Juliette's life that lets her kill so easily? She didn't hesitate at all when she shot Danny and felt no remorse at all.
Why is Alex so important to her father? (Which we're assuming is Ben.)

i think all there is to this is her desire to get home. Danny was not going to let Sawyer and Kate go, and she knew that if they didn't get away she couldn't go home...so she got rid of Danny the only way she knew how.
