One of only two teams still undefeated on the road (5-0)

Ended UH 33 game home win streak

has lost 4 games by a total of 11 points.

Only loss in 2025 (10-1) was an OT loss to #3 ranked team.

#7 NET ranking

A&M gave them their worst loss of the season- 5 pts at neutral court.

The neutral court (Indy) win over Purdue is still better - but they form a pretty good 1/2 punch. Add in the neutral court win over Creighton and wins over Ohio state and wake forest and we will have one of the best non conference resumes in the country.

Found it interesting that they are undefeated on the road.

Ole Miss in Oxford is a better win.

Today was our most impressive win. Purdue was second. Ole Miss third.

We beat Tech without their best player.

thought it might be viewed as a discount win without Toppin, but they were still favored, then went on take out UH on the road without him after the early bs ejection

The caveat with Tech was they were missing their best player.

Having said that we were missing our best player for the Bama and Kentucky losses as well. I believe our best overall defender was missing for the Oregon game as well. Phelps was out for the opener. @ Tu was the only game we lost with everyone available.

I think you just have to look at body of work. The collective wins versus Mizzou, Ole Miss, Purdue, Creighton, and Tech make for an impressive resume'.

Houston lost to Tech - at home - when Tech lost their best player (and coach) four minutes into the game.

I'm not sure what your'e saying . We have beaten some really good teams tho and certainly Tech is one of them but the fact remains they were without their top scorer in that game . I'd probably argue beating full strength Mizzou at home with a 15-0 home record this yr is as good or better but it really doesn't matter . What does matter imo is we have beaten a number of really good teams, and we have only lost one game at full strength.

Winning games against really good teams like Tech, Purdue , Creighton, Mizzou , Ole Miss … all very high quality wins. I suppose I'd argue in favor of true road games being better tho.

If you spent much time in Lubbock you would understand.

My point was having or not having a team's best player isn't always a factor. We won important games without Taylor and we lost important games without Taylor. Tech won and lost important games without their best player as well. Obviously, you'd like to be at full strength at all times, but good/great teams adapt to situations where their stud isn't available. Not trying to be argumentative...just pointing out that sometimes your team has to find ways to win without your ace. Tech found a way against Houston on the road...they couldn't find a way against us in Ft. Worth.

This is a great topic. Whatever the answer, it shows how many quality wins the team has this year!

Purdue is currently our best win, and it's not close. They are Top 10 in resume metrics and predictive metrics and it was a neutral site game that win is doing the most for our resume.

The win against Tech is probably our next best win, from a resume standpoint, and then the win against Mizzou. The win against Mizzou is great, for when it occurred and what it sets up for us going forward, but their metrics across the board are not nearly in the same category as Purdue and Tech.

The committee doesn't consider when wins occur, or a "last 10" metric, so there isn't really an argument that Mizzou is our "best win" from a seeding standpoint come March.

Tech missing their best player is irrelevant to the quality of win or our resume. The committee won't even know he didn't play.

There's definitely an argument since it was a true road game.
