Yeah, that complaint seems a little forced.
quote:quote:Yeah, don't overthink it.... but if you must... it's very common for soldiers to have a job when on base. Think about sailors pealing potatoes. Stuff's gotta get done. And then when the action goes down they load up on the transports and off they go. Simple.quote:I don't quite understand how you go from being in sanitation to being in Ren's personal battalion/assualt force on Jakku
I just remembered one of the funniest parts... So Finn's job at base was "sanitation".... LOVED the part when Han was like "got any garbage chutes"... Boyega's grin was priceless... he was all, "oh yeah!".
quote:Flashback scene that was cut? He tried to be a pilot but couldn't cut it so Han and Leia sent him off to train with Luke?
I just remembered that one of the early spoiler leaks was a set photo of Adam Driver dressed as an X-Wing pilot. Wonder if that was a total fakeout or if it was scrapped in a rewrite.
quote:Han used one to disembowel a tauntaun.
I do have a question. Fin used the lightsaber. I thought only those with the force can wield one. No?
quote:Yea, I'm gonna need at least two more theatrical viewings.
Before I read anything on the thread, just wanted to say it was great and soooo much to take in...
quote:
Lor San Tekka was an individual who lived on the Western Reaches planet ofJakku approximately 29 years after the Battle of Jakku. San Tekka was a follower of the Church of the Force, an underground faith of loosely affiliated followers ofJedi ideals.
quote:That was after Ren escaped and he whacked the restraint chair.
When Kylo went off on the control panel and the two storm troopers heard all the commotion and just noped the hell outta the situation...
quote:It also took Luke mf'n Skywalker years, including training with Yoda and Obi-Wan, to get to where Rey was with no training at all. She barely even knew the Force existed and she's implanting commands in James Bond? The first time she tries to pick something up with the Force she outmuscles a trained and experienced Force user? Nope.
Just wanted to say, about the whole Rey picking it up quickly. If you think about it, all these guys heard about rumors of the the jedi could do and the force and whatnot. So her figuring out the force command thing isnt a stretch, and is honestly realistic imo. She also failed twice. And being able to eventually use the lightsaber well, do you not rememeber the scene with Mas (orange alien) saying close your eyes, the force is all around you...that's also a recurring theme in the original trilogy.
quote:Years? He had 1 or 2 training sessions with Obi before he was making impossible shots without a targeting system. Then pre Yoda training he was using the force to grab his light saber.quote:It also took Luke mf'n Skywalker years, including training with Yoda and Obi-Wan, to get to where Rey was with no training at all. She may have been trained and then mind wiped by Luke. I'm sure more will be revealed next movie.
