Caserio is slow playing the hell out of this situation, I love it.
Can he play it faster? Watson has to approve any trade

Best guesses from those around him are he’ll at least take the night to think about things and regroup tomorrow. But as @ProFootballTalk notes here, there’s no specific timeline. https://t.co/gaGiSQoX63

Is anyone surprised he is torn…decision making isn't his greatest strength
Falcons rolled out the 'red carpet' today during their meeting in Atlanta with Deshaun Watson that included the NFC South franchise's owner, Arthur Blank, and the other key members of the team's leadership group, per league sources, and delivered an impressive presentation.

Both 2’s in 2022
1st rounder in 2023

I love the combo of picks & young studs with yrs left on a rookie deal.
Side note, Matt Ryan to Indy/Tenn!!
The Saints have restructured the contracts of QB Taysom Hill, CB Bradley Roby, LB DeMario Davis and S Malcolm Jenkins to clear major cap space, per source.

The Saints are now officially at $29.9M in cap space 👀
I don't think he gets a bigger contract per se but I do think the new team restructures it so most of his salary becomes a signing bonus. The bonus cannot be lost due to suspension like a game check can. Also, the new team will be able to prorate the bonus over a few years, thus reducing the immediate cap hit.BCSGrubber said:
He could also be "torn" so he gets a bigger contract post trade.
Agree with this. This is why I can't see the Saints because they are perpetually in cap hell and Deshaun has shown he wants to get his first.lunchbox said:I don't think he gets a bigger contract per se but I do think the new team restructures it so most of his salary becomes a signing bonus. The Saints brass met with Deshaun Watson a second time last night, according to sources.

Interesting that he goes on to say that Saints ownership was on the second meeting with Deshaun. Makes me think it was a response to the Falcons rolling out the red carpet.lunchbox said:The Saints brass met with Deshaun Watson a second time last night, according to sources.

What do saints have to offer
Well done, lunchbox. I was about to ask the same thing. Went back a few pages (but not quite far enough) and didn't see anything. If they get DW then we know their 23 and 24 picks will all likely be late in the rounds. They must be offering more current talent than others since we keep hearing how great their offer is.lunchbox said:https://texags.com/forums/23/topics/3226549/replies/61670927Mr.Bond said:

Can't speak for his ability but Ruiz started every game for them this past season and he is young.lunchbox said:
Total speculation but posters on various Saints message boards are claiming that OG Cesar Ruiz and DB Chauncey Gardner-Johnson would be part of the deal going back to Houston.
Gardner-Johnson tweeted something cryptic this morning (something like "...") and then deleted all the Saints stuff from his social medias. I did not go confirm this...
They seem to be really happy to lose Ruiz but really sad to lose Gardner-Johnson.

3 players being discussed in a potential #Saints trade are OL Erik McCoy, Cesar Ruiz and DB C.J. Gardner-Johnson. Not all 3 will go but those are the names.

I've heard in the past (long before the DW stuff) that the Maras/Tisch's stay away from any kind of sex abuse violators. I know the NYG have been mentioned as may being interested but I'd be shocked if they get involved.Mr.Bond said:
NYG by far have best package available imo in terms of draft compensation
