I think we'll be competitive in most games this year, though we may not get the Ws to go along with it. We have a good left side of the OL and a deep backfield. Solid defense with the depth (although average) benefits teams later in the season as injuries/wear and tear happens. It wouldn't surprise me if most of our games were lower scoring but grinding it out and wearing down opponents.
The more I watch the team and learn about the Deshaun stuff, I'm wondering if his public throwing the organization under the bus was more reactionary than proactive with his lawsuit. It just doesn't seem like this is that toxic of an organization.
If the rumors are true that Palcic was canned for trying to sweep it under the rug, it leads me to believe the team/organization knew of the allegations and the substance behind them. Maybe the Texans approached Deshaun about their proposal on how to handle and instead of collaborating with them, he wanted to control the narrative. I don't doubt he was dissatisfied with certain things, but it is very clear now that the team has an actual GM running the show who's shed a lot of the crap contracts that Easterby helped negotiate. Perhaps Deshaun was convinced by his agent that the trade would be quick and a sure thing like he accomplished for Ramsey, but maybe they all underestimated the Texans/legal process.
Can't wait for the documentary that Jim Trotter teased about comes out!
