I was hoping for a couple of 1sts and a couple of decent players. I don't believe they will get the combo of 6 1st and impact players that they floated out there.shano0603 said:
I mean. What is everyone expecting to get? A couple of first rounders?

Denver rumored for Tua.

In regards to the #Texans closing in on a deal that would send Deshaun Watson to the Miami #Dolphins, I am hearing that it could be a three team deal that would send Tua Tagovailoa to the Washington Football Team.

Deshaun is going to start for the Dolphins Sunday and lead them to the playoffs.Ags #1 said:
Been said numerous times but why trade him tona team he could make better and your draft pick you are getting worse? But its the texans so they will do what makes no sense
The Dolphins don't own their own pick. It was traded to Philly to move back up after trading down with SF.Ags #1 said:

What is he doing to hurt the team this year? The goal is to lose anyway.SpicyAg said:
Honestly I think this is great. Optimistically I'd like quite a few first rounders. Realistically I'm expecting a max of 2. I think anything for him now would be a win than just sitting around with him lingering around the organization.

So his suspension or placement on the Commissioner's exempt list will be coming as soon as he is traded.

I guess it's just me but I like tua more than any of the QBs in the upcoming draft
What did they do besides not let him participate in the hiring of the coach and GM? The franchise is bad, I agree, but it was that way before he signed the extension a year ago.Quote:
but he is ready to get out of Houston regardless because of how the front office has screwed him over the years (Yes I know some of it was BoB.)
I'm not sure it is really reflecting bad on the organization. Hell, it's barely even reflecting bad on Watson. It's rarely mentioned in the national media from my POV.SpicyAg said:
I don't think he's hurting the team directly. I think indirectly the team is getting a bad look for the legal stuff surrounding him. Obviously I don't know how all of that will end up, but he is ready to get out of Houston regardless because of how the front office has screwed him over the years (Yes I know some of it was BoB.)
I don't see the issue with moving him for more draft capital. I said realistically 2 first rounders because our front office keeps showing that they are incompetent.
I agree that it makes sense to wait until the upcoming draft to trade him, but you can't force the guy to reconsider his request. He has repeatedly told the team he wants out...its pie-in-the-sky to think he's going to change his mind.Quote:
Let the legal issues play out, let Watson observe how the organization is run over the next 6 months before the draft and make a trade then if he still wants nothing to do with the Texans.
Completely fair. But, I'd rather the pie-in-the sky thinking than give up a top 5-8 QB in the league for the next 12-15 years for 2 firsts.lunchbox said:I agree that it makes sense to wait until the upcoming draft to trade him, but you can't force the guy to reconsider his request. Top QB for the next 12-15 years?!? Is he Tom ****ing Brady?GCP12 said:Completely fair. He's already 26 years old. He's not going to be a top QB until he's 38-41…. Part of his value lies in his mobility and that's not going to stay around. Not to mention there are very few QBs who make it to that age and stay effective.
We need to stop the hyperbole.

Gruden got a bunch of picks for Khalil Mack and Amari Cooper...but he didn't draft any star players with them. The jury is still out on Caserio, but New England doesn't exactly have an excellent recent history in the draft.
Sun, surf, and a new masseuse every block? Kind of kidding, but not really.Texan_Aggie said:
What I don't understand is why Deshaun wants to be in Miami. That's been an abysmal franchise since 2001 and they're going to "rebuild" after trading for Deshaun? Seems like a lateral move, but I guess a more fun city than Houston.
Motivations have to be outside of football, which doesn't surprise me given how this saga has played out.
