So its like a sip recruit going from a 3 star to a 5 star in the off-season because they got an offer from t.u.?

Malik Willis is (+400) to be the No. 2 pick in the NFL Draft

So I don't know how well he's going to turn out but those throws are at least going to get teams really thinking about him as a possible QB1. It would be nice if one of them wants to consider moving up to 3. The issue is everyone knows the Jets will not be drafting a QB in the first, and they draft at 4. I doubt the Jets would have any reservations about trading down. I would think anyone trading up is more likely to target the 4th pick rather than the 3rd. The only way that maybe turns is if Caserio shows interest, otherwise they already know we are going to give Mills a shot for a full season. The Jags aren't taking a QB and I doubt Detroit does either since Goff has 3 years left on his contract.

Just another reminder how the Texans got effed when they traded Hopkins.
I would take that!lunchbox said:
To make this even more Texans-related, KC now has the #29 and 30 picks.
Would Houston take both those picks so KC can move up to #13 and take one of the top WRs?
The draft pick value chart has Houston winning that deal by about 100 pts...
Houston would have another couple of guys who would be eligible for a 5th year option...
I think I would do it (and stay at #3).
It's a double win for the Dolphins, whether Tua can throw the deep ball or not, this will open up the field a lot....and then it weakens a top AFC team's best asset (no matter who they get, this hurts the Chiefs passing game).W said:
good move by the Dolphins. Need to find out if Tua can play QB at a high level...while he's still on his rookie contract
I would still probably try to trade down from 3 unless someone they love falls into their lap. But, I think we need as many talented people as possible over 1 big name at this point.lunchbox said:
I just ran it through the PFF mock draft sim and KC approved the deal (#13 for #29 and 30....71% likely to succeed and it graded as a B+). Maybe I should have also asked for a 4th or something...
I took Ekwonu at 3 and then the best CB and S available at 29/30...

The #Texans agreed to terms with former #Browns fullback Andy Janovich on a one-year deal, per source.

Good news, we're planning on running the ball. Bad news, we don't know who that's going to be. I don't see anyone worth making a run at in free agency. I would prefer we go RB at pick 37, but at 37 there's going to be some guys that drop out of the first that everyone thought would be gone. Ideally we can trade back and pick up another 2nd.. . . said:The #Texans agreed to terms with former #Browns fullback Andy Janovich on a one-year deal, per source.

There is really never a good chance for a blockbuster trade down scenario, this year it really depends on the QB market and what Detroit does at #2. Also, the draft never goes the way fans think it willAg_07 said:
All you guys expecting all these trade downs are gonna be seriously disappointed.
So true, but this year I don't think any mock draft will be close to the draft. With how crazy free agency has been, I expect the draft to be wild too. So many unknowns, no consensus top player, no consensus top QB, hell I haven't even really seen a consensus top 3 players at this point.Ag_07 said:
Yeah it'll be fun to actually watch the draft.
And I know they're there and they very well happen but they're just so hard to predict it's difficult for me to take seriously any mock that predicts a trade down scenario.
I do wonder what would have happened if we got Caserio back in the summer of 2019 and BoB had just stayed as a coach. Or even what would have happened if Watson hadn't tore his ACL in 2017? It's hard to go back and look at that 2018 team and how much talent was on it, hell even the 2019 team was pretty good, and where the team is now.Max Power said:
Even with the closure that trading Watson brings, I just get upset when thinking about the personnel moves made during the O'Brien tenure. We was a good coach, this team went against the Patriots in the playoffs with Brock Osweiller and had a chance to win, that game is clear in my mind because I was in Vegas. I was able to see Dallas lose to GB in the final seconds in the sports book at the Cosmo...which was a lot of fun.
When you stack it all up it's really insane where this team is today. We finally had a top shelf QB, and look at where that's brought us. To say O'Brien's conduct was beyond the pale is putting it mildly. I don't see how any team in the NFL could even interview the guy in the future, he railroaded the entire franchise. Not to mention having a top 3 WR in the NFL and we don't even get a 1st round pick?
I hope Lovie succeeds, and Mills. The AFC has become a monster when it comes to QB's, I hope we put the pieces in place to support Mills, but almost more importantly I hope we invest defensively to combat these QB's.
Money be damned, one day I hope Watson wakes up and tell the Browns he doesn't want to be there, he'll wish he went home to Atlanta and a weak NFC.
Bro, we gotta move on. This team and front office are completely different. I get it stings, but there are lots of reasons to be optimistic with the teams youth, draft capital, and a GM who seems to be pretty successful so far.Max Power said:
