Dumb. And we had them stopped. Lucky he didn't get targeting too.

Holy **** we punted on 4th and 4 from the 39 with a kicker who's made a 62 yarder before?

I admit I'm a casual fan, but what happened to the team I saw week 1? Are the jags just that bad?
Did you not see who the starting QB was week 1 and who it is today?

Just tuned in, seriously? That's almost as bad as taking 4th and 2 over 3rd and 10.

very conservative again.
1st down run...2nd down run...3rd down sack

Penalty would have made it 3rd and 10
Going to disagree with this. RG3 never played a full 16, played >10 games 2 seasons, and his best season was 9-6.bluefire579 said:I know Texags has a hard-on against him because he went to Baylor, but RG3 does not belong on this list at all. His issue was not talent but coming back too quickly from an injury (recall that being Shanahan's doing, but could be wrong). His rookie season was stellar.Texan_Aggie said:
Careful with the BilBo talk - he'll come out of the woodwork and scold you on how wrong you are.
Really late to the convo, but a lot of 1st round QBs really suck and most are average. Low chance you get your franchise QB. Since 2011...
- Dwayne Haskins
- Josh Rosen
- Mitch Trubisky
- Carson Wentz
- Paxton Lynch
- Marcus Mariota
- Blake Bortles
- Johnny Manziel
- Teddy Bridgewater
- EJ Manuel
- Robert Griffin
- Jake Locker
- Blaine Gabbert
- Christian Ponder
You said "a lot of 1st round QBs really suck and most are average". Before his injury, he was well above average. Nothing about games played, not to mention 9-6 after the season they had before was stellar. You put him in with a bunch of QBs who never even sniffed that kind of success and have amounted to average as best.Texan_Aggie said:Going to disagree with this. Matt Schaub was fun to watch put up stats, but get me a QB that is dependable and wins as opposed to putting up great stats that ultimately doesn't translate to wins.
Teddy B had 1 good season, I agree. But the point remains - the chance you draft a QB in Round 1 that is a franchise quarterback and translates to wins, whether that be deficiencies in talent, durability, or whatever else is very low.

This is what I don't get. I think they should at least be aggressive in those 4th down situations. If you fail to convert a 4th down in that area of the field, so what? You're most likely going to lose the game anyway. Just because you are tanking this season doesn't mean you can't make the games interesting.W said:

so a bad team is going to be boring as well
