There was no excuse for not declining that penalty with 1:52 left. They did us a favor running it into the endzone. Then you have nearly two minutes to tie the game with a touchdown.

Still don't understand the "roughing the passer" penalty. That was the nail in the coffin for the Texans and just a terrible and soft call. 300 lb guy running full speed and bumps the QBs chest without him leaving his feet. Rule sucks.

Coach Placeholder said something along the lines of "they threw the ball earlier so we thought they might throw it again"

My thoughts on the game:

  • Andrew Roberts should not be on the team
  • Tim Kelly's playcalling was great the 1st half, fell way way off in the second
  • I am tired of watching Mark Ingram run into lineman for a yard every other play
  • Defense is a good bend but not break defense
  • Howard needs to move back to RT
  • Mills went toe to toe with a 1st round rookie and showed improvement taking care of the ball from last week
  • Culley is learning how to be a head coach. I said the same thing about BoB, but BoB's arrogance never allowed him to learn clock management/situational coaching. Hoping Culley can learn these things.
  • Team is not good, but they are not awful. Outside of the Bills, they've competed in every game.

This I do not understand.

I mean it sucks for Taylor (who seems to be the most unlucky player in the NFL), but we might as well ride out the season with the rookie.

They have a chance, but they need to keep losing. They've got to be able to get into the next Jacksonville game with a bad enough record to challenge for the #1 pick.

The Colts suck, but they are activating TY Hilton today, which guarantees he'll have 5 catches for 150 yards and 2 TDs.

I was impressed that they essentially had Miami convinced they were going for the Hail Mary even though they had one timeout left. Guess it made up for Urbans dumb decision to not take points earlier. There was also an opposite of Smalls FG, where it was outside the right posts the entire way until the end. Miami was convinced it had missed.
