Well, you just said he's likely to get suspended because of them. That seems to matter. My guess is it also matters to ownership for appearances sake, at least to some degree. My guess is it will matter to some sponsors and advertisers. My guess is Watson won't immediately step in Baker's shoes in whatever ads he does. In briefly skimming Cleveland message boards, there are a lot of fans saying it matters to them. So, that's the teams, sponsors and fans who seem to care, at least to some degree.

But you started this so why don't you explain why this doesn't matter at all. And remember, by saying it doesn't matter at all, you're saying they are just as happy that he's been sued 22 times for sexual assault as they would be if he'd never been accused of any of this. Good luck with that.

I'm satisfied with the deal and so glad it's over. Three first rounders is obviously the prize, but they should have gotten a bit more.

It's funny to me that he ends up being a Cleveland Brown after all this crap. I'm guessing the market for Watson wasn't quite as robust as the media made it out to be.

Feels like we got screwed by Watson and O'Brien one last time on his way out of town.

3 picks each for Jalen Ramsey and Jamal Adams, each trade garnered 2 first round picks.
3 firsts - great
No second round picks?
No solid current players that we can utilize on a rookie contract?
Hell I would have said go ahead and send Mayfield down here, he can play out his 5th year option possibly on the bench but add in 2 second round picks.

This compensation isn't adequate in my opinion, but given the fact we could have gotten nothing if he got charged with criminal sexual assault then I guess we go with it.

Time to move on.

This shows how scared Cleveland is of Joe Burrow, who I hope tears them up twice a year.

It clearly didn't matter too much to CLE because this deal is done. And it's not a deal not for 6-8 games. It's for years. If Watson is who they they think, they won't care one bit about missing half a season.

And I didn't "start" it. People keep posting like it's the end of world. As if the sky were falling. All teams know he's getting suspended. That's a known and not really important factor.

He also hasn't been accused of "sexual assault" by 22 people. He's accused of being a weirdo that likes hookers by all but 1-2. How many of those showed up at grand jury to testify for their shake down?

Tunsil isn't getting traded this year and will cost too much next year for the Texans to trade him without a long term extension.

I might have the wrong sport, but I remember looking this up a few years ago. What I recall is league rules prevent a player from being traded twice in one off-season.

I think the spirit of the rule of to prevent a players from participating in two games during the same week. But one game has to pass before the player can be traded again.

I could be wrong or things may have changed, but that's what I remember at least.

I think Watson went full temper tantrum the moment Cleveland guaranteed him a full contract (like freaking idiots) and said he would only waive his NTC for them. Not as good as i wanted but not the fleece job by Cleveland that I've been seeing mentioned by Texan's fans on the Internet. It was fair trade value, I just thought we would get higher than that.

Overall, I still think we got the better end of the deal. He's never going to take them to a championship game, he's too weak willed. Lots of stats and they'll keep thinking they're almost there, and wait till next year. Which is funny, because that's the issue with the guy they just got rid of, only difference is Watson puts up better stats and makes better highlights.

Overall, i think this gets the browns to the playoffs consistently at the top of the north, but Watson never wins more than 2 playoff games in a season during the rest of his career

No one saw Watson doing this and I mean no one. He played everyone including the Falcons like a fiddle. He chose money over success. Dude is just different.

The Falcon package from what I was told was 3 first rounders a fourth round pick and two players: AJ Terrell and Deion Jones

Interesting to see If the NFL will suspend Watson for any games.

Falcons deal was significantly better for the Texans.

Unless Cleveland just craters and all those first round picks are in the top 5-10.... which I guess is possible given their franchise history.
