The only thing Houston can do to lose now is throw the ball or miss the FG. Missing the kick is probably the easiest to explain.

I have full confidence in Fairbairn's ability to miss

It's a fair way to lose without throwing the game.

He made it. We may actually win one

Not sure there are any early first round QBs anyways.
Yeah, anybody else I would have been thinking,"What are these idiots doing!?!"maca1028 said:
I want to Texans to lose out and have the first pick but I'm still happy about this win because **** Tennessee.

I know this is an irrational belief, but the Texans just won a +5 turnover game by 1 score. This is worse than a loss in a throwaway season. You want to be owed luck in the future, not use it up in a meaningless season.

I think top 5 there are great defensive options between Thibodaux, Stingley, Hutchinson, Karlaftis, and Hamilton. I think there's a drop off after that. This isn't a draft to go with an offensive weapon at the top of the first. I don't like any of the QB's in this draft that high. The issue is that the other teams at the bottom of the league are unlikely to take a QB so I think there's a run on defense at the of of he draft. The current teams with 2 or fewer wins are Detroit, NYJ, Jacksonville, and Houston. I don't think any of the QB's is good enough to warrant a pick that high but who knows what things look like after the combine. The middle of the first though could see a lot of teams thinking QB that just aren't at the bottom.
It's strange isn't? Talking about a front office that is making a decision we're happy with? I feel like this is a trap for some reason, but I'm actually starting to look forward to the draft for the first time in a while.Texan_Aggie said:
Yes. I think this is why Caserio didn't force a trade to Miami. Bigger market w/ more time to get Deshaun's buy in. Also, you know what picks you're getting.
Glad we didn't jam a trade through just to move him.

and speaking of the front office...are we allowed to possibly give the Texans credit for electing not to give Hopkins a 4 or 5-year extension with a lot of guaranteed money?
he was great in year 1 in Arizona.
but in year 2...he looks like a 9-year veteran
