Alright everyone, give me your predictions on the Watson situation. I'll go first:

Watson settles and no charges are filed in Feb. He gets traded in March/before the draft. To the colts.

Texans get a first and a third for the next two years.

Best case for everyone.

Lol the colts? 0% chance the Texans trade him to the colts

No way they trade him in the division, especially for that return.

I get that but also we're talking about the Texans here. You really think it's impossible? How many of our players play for the titans?

And also don't attack me. I asked a question and put myself out there.

I agree settlements get done. No crim charges. The corrupt (based on my knowledge) locals will find a way not to charge him...probably based on campaign contributions.

I predict he'll go the the Giants. We get a 1, a 2, and a 3.

He's a special assistant to the head coach at Florida Atlantic, doesn't seem like NFL HC is the next logical step. Is it possible he's not interviewing for that position? It's a less logical resume than even Culley had.

They already talked to Flores so that can't be it.

I just don't see the Mara family wanting Watson. Too much backlash with the ny media, etc.

Watson will bring the desired return of three first round picks and 3 other picks such as 3 thirds. There are way too many teams who want him despite his past. Giants included. It's all about the timing. No waiting around for the Texans. The trade happens day 1 of the new NFL "season" In March.

Settlements happen, no criminal charges, and Watson goes to the Giants for 3 firsts plus 3 thirds. I also predict the Texans trade pick 3 to the Steelers so they can draft a QB.

In this years draft? There is no qb worth trading up from imo. Steelers usually dont make moves like that either. But maybe they want to home town kid that badly

Quote:

According to Caserio, the Texans are actually looking for a coach who has some of the same traits that Culley had.

"Honestly, I'd say a lot of the qualities that David possessed," said Caserio. "Those aren't going to necessarily change. But I think the head coach position really is a probably a leadership position more than anything else. I think we get caught up in the X's and O's. Now, there's an X's and O's strategy component to that, but again, it's within the context and the construct of everything else that surrounds that."

LOL.

Caserio is just like BOB. He is just looking for someone that will let him be HC by proxy.

That should be obvious. The dude is on a headset during the game. He takes part of coaching up players at practices….Caserio is a tool. Until Hee Haw let's go of having any involvement with the team the Texans will be a joke

so after seeing Joe Burrow and Josh Allen yesterday in the playoffs...

surely Watson's camp wants him to go to the NFC.

the AFC is stacked with young, good, and playoff-experienced QB's now

I'm starting to think that, unless something shifts drastically in this game, the Eagles might still be interested in getting a new QB You can tell that either they don't trust Hurts at all, or Hurts doesn't trust himself throwing the ball down field.

The eagles should totally trade us all their picks for Watson, regardless of legal situation

I wish the Texans could somehow kiss and make up with Watson and keep him. Nobody will remember these legal issues when he plays well again.

The problem is even if they do make up, at the earliest this team won't be ready to compete until Watson's current contract is up. The Texans need to commit one way or another now to rebuild or build around Watson..

Caserio has to be able to get the Eagles interested

of course Kenny Pickett in the 1st round would be much, much cheaper than Watson.

Eagles would have to trade up to make sure they got him

Eagles would make a lot of sense for both teams. They could give 2 firsts this year and another next year. It's hard to see them keeping all those picks and rolling with Hurts.

Uh, Hines Ward survived Bane's attack on Gotham and scored a touchdown on a kickoff vs. Rapid City at the same time. Guy is a ****ing champion in my book.

In my ideal world, the Texans declare publicly that they'll never trade him, and make him sit out his prime on their bench.

In my second ideal world, they announce they'll only trade them to teams that suck worse than them, meaning the Jags, Jets, or Lions.

In reality, they'll trade him for an embarassingly small amount of talent, he'll be in the playoffs the next year, and we'll keep sucking ass fro another decade.

and the 49ers got a great game from Charles Omenihu with 1 1/2 sacks and a fumble.

did not fit the Texans culture apparently

a lot of posters said J.J. should have signed with the Packers...but he took Arizona's money instead.

that's why the Cardinals are the Cardinals. Got Hopkins and J.J. from the Texans for basically nothing (and added several nice players from other teams)...one & done in the playoffs for 2021

JJ's greatest accomplishment will always be what he was able to do in the immediate aftermath of Harvey. Second greatest accomplishment might be getting BOB fired.
