I know this thread is dead, but holy s*** did the refs just pull a hatchet job to completely change the trajectory of this game on back-to-back plays.

Mills throws an INT at midfield, Conley gets a clear strip on the return and the Texans recover…refs conference and call "forward progress" (it absolutely wasn't).
Next play, they air it out into good coverage and then they throw a very late flag and hit the Texans for PI where there was nothing close to it to give them the ball inside the red zone.
It was awful.
Is it quitting if he never really started in the first place?mwm said:
Refs aren't any worse than the head coach, down by 10, 6 mins to play, doesn't go for it on 4th down. He quit on his team.

If we fire Culley, do we look for a stud coordinator (McDaniels, Bieniemy, Moore) or a former head coach with experience (Pederson, Marrone, etc.)?
I don't think we're firing Culley. I think Nick sticks to his plans - have Culley hold it all together until we get a new wave of drafted players in and give him a nice retirement check for the remaining three years on his contract.SpicyAg said:

Culley's fate is already sealed. As soon as this team gets a couple of decent drafts under its belt he's gone.Max Power said:
Culley gets another year, he deserves it. This team was a dumpster fire to put it mildly and 4 wins surprised me to say the least. Add to that Mills steadily getting better with minimal supporting cast. Finally getting a chance to draft in the first couple rounds again. Some positions of need can be addressed in both the draft and free agency. Watson has to be motivated to get this case resolved this offseason. It's also best for Houston, it's their best chance to get real value for him, so many teams need a qb, his trade value still has to be substantial. If it drags on another year it doesn't look good for him or the organization. Next season will determine Culley's fate, not this one. Also I still think the Houston job isn't attractive enough for a top flight candidate, but another season of improvement could give it a lot more potential. Guys like Bienemy, Daboll, Moore, McDaniels, etc aren't jumping to Houston.
Open jobs:
Jacksonville
Las Vegas
Likely to be open:
Chicago
Denver
NYG
Minnesota
Maybe:
Carolina

Dang, he kicked a player? I knew everyone thought he sucked, but I didn't realize they did something about it. What's the rumor mill saying about where he will land in CFB?
