Man...the Panthers seem to be the team that wants Watson the most but they don't have a 2nd or 3rd round pick this year. They do have the #6 pick, however.

I think if they had any actual evidence for a criminal conviction, the charges would have been filed when the incident occurred. So not surprising for me personally.
I'm interested to see what the NFL does though given there's really no hard evidence. I personally think Deshaun shouldn't play another down, but obviously that likely won't happen.

Believe the rule is that you can't trade more than 3 years out. Not a limit on the number of picks necessarily.

He already sat out 17 games. I could see no additional penalties. Several teams are interested including Phily, NYG, Seattle, Las Vegas, Pittsburgh, Carolina, Miami and San Fran.
Seattle, NYG and Phily have the most assets but it's really first round picks in 23 that matter. Texans want the ability to trade up for a qb but not this year.

He was paid for those games, the nfl will penalize him by missing game checks.
Sitting out isnt the same as an suspensions. Not like he gets time served.

There just aren't enough QBs to go around right now. Lock, Mills, Tua, Daniel Jones plus 2-3 rookies are starters. Even with the layoff and lack of NFL wins Watson is a top 10

Let's not forget that Watson sitting out was just a really convenient way for him to get his way to get traded. He quit on this team, plain and simple and didn't have to take a year's worth of punishment playing behind a Swiss cheese OL with zero skill players.

The criminal side has been determined. Still need to see how civil plays out. The civil side isn't going away anytime soon. Just mean Watson won't face any jail time.

True, but that shouldn't have much of an effect n trading him at this point, right? Civil cases may not be wrapped up for years.
