Why on earth would the texans want any part of baker? Mills is just as good and way cheaper
who says they do?Ags #1 said:

I didn't post that meaning baker would be coming to the Texans. Just that it might be a clue that the browns could be the front runners for WatsonAgs #1 said:

And 6th pick
Last night @AaronWilson_NFL mentioned that Atlanta had not made an official offer to Houston like Cleveland, New Orleans, and Carolina did. https://t.co/oVD3kNGzgq

I think their scenario is killed by the fact that teams have to submit an acceptable offer first. The interesting part would be if Watson comes back and says that he likes 2 teams. At that point we get to see which wants to sweeten the pot.LincolnBorglum79 said:
Local Houston radio folks are worried Watson has the power to force the Texans to trade him to his first choice and then the offers will shrink. That's obviously wrong since the Texans won't set up the meeting unless a team has an acceptable offer. This is a pretty ideal situation and should result in a pretty quick return to contender status if they draft better than they used to.

I think Nick still has the power of saying nevermind which I dont think DW4 side wants to test.
I think at this point if DW picks a team and they instantly lower their offer, then Houston submits a case of tampering to the league and gets the NTC removed.Ag_07 said:BCSGrubber said:

Not sure he has that power now that Watson's new contract is about to kick in and he'll be paid $35MM or whatever number it is to sit on the bench.
I just think things are moving along right now and neither side wants to rock the boat. DW is vetting his options and Nick is not getting too far down the road with a team who can't meet his ask.
I'm assuming Houston is being very transparent with any interested parties. If acceptable offers were required to get in the door, but they withdraw completely then fine. Perhaps they don't like something about their meeting, which is possible. But if they meet and try to completely change what was offered then that would be problematic. Caserio hasn't done anything noteworthy in free agency, he's not already in a corner, regardless of the new money aspect. None of the other teams involved is in a position to strong arm Caserio due to how conservative he's been.IrishAg said:I think at this point if DW picks a team and they instantly lower their offer, then Houston submits a case of tampering to the league and gets the NTC removed.Ag_07 said:BCSGrubber said:

Yep. There was a report that Deshaun had reached out to the Falcons directly, which means his agent did. I am fairly sure that is against the CBA.
Always thought they make the most sense because the have 2 picks in the top 7 and their quarterback is horrible.bilbobag said:

Wow, turn one of those into more picks and still have the ability to potentially select your 2 top targets.CFTXAG10 said:Picks 3,5, and 7 would be interestingbilbobag said:

Saints compensation is legit and has been signed off by Nick.
Will be interesting to see Atlanta's counter.
If Watson wanted to be a Saint, that could happen tomorrow.
