I'm assuming this trade being final is dependent upon whatever deal Atlanta can get done for Matt Ryan. He's due a lot of money, and has a no trade clause, but I think they can find a partner. I'm thinking Indy right now. They moved Wentz, and he's an improvement. Cleveland might be interested but can they move Mayfield?
Phew, if you had told Colts' fans 5 years ago that they'd have old man Philip Rivers and old man Matt Ryan at quarterback in 2020 and 2022, they'd have to assume Andrew Luck got run over by a bus. Sports is a weird beast.Max Power said:
Landing spots for QBs are drying up as well.
Matt Ryan needs a team to go to.
Jimmy G going to stay in SF?
Where's Winston going?
My best guesses:
Panthers - deal with Darnold in year 5, drafting a QB in the first round this year. Would they try to trade for someone like Jordan Love?
Seahawks - Winston, try to hold off on a QB until next year.
Colts - Jimmy G if Matt Ryan doesn't end up in Indy I'm guessing.
Pittsburgh - Are they just going to QB by committee (Trubisky/Haskins/Rudolph) and take a QB in the first or wait till next year?
Any hints at the number of picks being involved?bilbobag said:
One name being thrown out there with Atlanta's deal is AJ Terrell..

I hope he is part of the deal and has been rumored for a while, but is this in addition to the original offer?bilbobag said:

They deserve all the misfortune they can get. Irsay inherited the team from his dad, who was so bold as to move the Colts out of Baltimore in the middle of the night without warning. They get Peyton Manning, HOF QB, who gets injured and they then get Andrew Luck. I despise the Colts, any negative impact to them is good for us.helloimustbegoing said:Phew, if you had told Colts' fans 5 years ago that they'd have old man Philip Rivers and old man Matt Ryan at quarterback in 2020 and 2022, they'd have to assume Andrew Luck got run over by a bus. I’m told Falcons brass has ‘keys to the city’ to bring a trade home with Deshaun Watson & would be ‘surprised’ if that doesn’t occur based on strong mutual interest & conversations. Separately I expect Watson to receive new money in a restructured contract once any trade is done.

Deshaun Watson has decided he wants to play for the Cleveland Browns in a stunning change of events, per sources. Watson has informed the Houston Texans that he now is willing to waive the no-trade clause in his contract to be dealt to Cleveland.

Source says the #Texans will be acquiring three first round picks and two additional picks - on day two or three - from the #Browns for Deshaun Watson. Five total picks, including three first rounders.

Every dollar of Deshaun Watson’s new five-year, $230 million deal is guaranteed, per sources, setting a new record for the highest guarantee given to an NFL player. @Browns and Watson’s agent @DavidMulugheta combine to make history.
