2028 New Iberia (LA) Westgate EDGE Chance Archangel commits to A&M
Texas A&M has landed a verbal commitment today in the class of 2028, as New Iberia (LA) Westgate EDGE Chance Archangel has decided on a future in College Station.
This decision comes while the 6-foot-4, 240-pound rising junior was on campus for Mike Elko’s first round of summer camps. He’s the first commitment of the 2028 cycle for the Aggies.
With still two years of high school football to play, Archangel already jumps out with his physically advanced skill set and a frame that screams pass-rusher. He shows outstanding get-off, creating uncomfortable pass sets for opposing offensive linemen on the snap. He also displays great dexterity in turning the edge.
Here are his sophomore highlights.
Widely considered one of the top young prospects in the South, Archangel chose the Aggies over offers from Texas, Alabama, Florida State, LSU and many others.
