Say "Howdy!" to an old friend.
On Tuesday, former TCU infielder Jack Bell, who spent his true freshman season at Texas A&M, announced that he will transfer back to Aggieland and continue his collegiate career with Michael Earley's Aggies.
A Big 12 All-Tournament selection as a sophomore in 2025, Bell appeared in 105 games, making 86 starts, and slashed .282/.417/.473 during his time in Fort Worth. His Horned Frog numbers also include 11 home runs, 15 doubles, four triples and 58 RBI in 294 at-bats.
As a junior in 2026, Bell hit .303 with six homers and 27 RBI with a .490 slugging percentage in 47 starts and 50 games overall.
As a rookie on A&M's 2024 national runner-up club, the Corpus Christi Ray product hit .250 with one homer, a double and four RBI in 16 at-bats across 19 games.
During his prep career, Perfect Game rated him as the No. 114 shortstop in the nation and the No. 53 overall player in the state of Texas. The two-time Area Code Games invitee also received an invitation to the 2023 MLB Draft Combine as a two-time all-state selection in the Coastal Bend.
Bell's addition is A&M's first portal pickup during this window, as he provides experience and depth up the middle.
