All-SEC catcher Jackson Appel selected in sixth round by the White Sox
An elite backstop for the Fightin' Texas Aggies in 2024, senior catcher Jackson Appel was selected by the Chicago White Sox in the sixth round, 169th overall, in the 2024 MLB Draft. Appel hit .331 with 10 home runs and 41 RBIs in his only season in Maroon & White.
