I do hope it's Flores but frankly I don't see how it could be anyone other than McCown.
I am not sure how a franchise hires a guy that is currently suing them. I suppose they could get it worked out to where he drops the suit, but that would go against the reason he filed it.
Also, Flores isn't going to want to work alongside a GM like Nick with a big influence on the coaching staff and is on the headset during games.
If we get beyond Monday with no announcement, it has to be McCown. They will want to lessen the blowback and super bowl week is a good week to do it.

Hiring Flores would genuinely make me excited about this team for the first time in a couple of years. Hiring McCown would make me want to drink until I'm numb.

With radio row going on and everyone in front of a microphone the last thing they want is talking about Flores getting snubbed for McCown.
That would be a PR disaster (if it wasn't already).

But if you're Cal, Easterby, etc., you better really consider that.

I think you are misunderstanding me a bit. All I'm really saying is if they don't announce Monday, it's got to be McCown. They would likely wait until the weekend to make that announcement though if I had to guess.
PR is going to be difficult no matter how they went about it.

Super Bowl week would be perfect. Outside a couple hours the day of announcement it won't be talked about. Outside of Houston nobody really gives a **** about the Texans. Literally they are the league piss on's.

Cal I tried to find us a head coach but Easterby and I agree that none of the candidates were a proper fit for the culture we are trying to build. Only I can guide this franchise to finally becoming the Patriots. Caserio will be reprising the role of Head Coach and GM.

This. Why would you willingly hire someone that you know is going to look at anything through a racial lens. You will almost assuredly get sued for something while he is there and DEFINITELY get sued when he gets canned.

Yeah. I get the sense they were gonna hire McCown but the Flores lawsuit screwed up their plans. Realized they would have been crucified for hiring a white guy with literally zero experience. So, now they're scrambling.

The fact that Flores filed what appears to be a very thin lawsuit while he was still in the running for HC jobs is mind boggling.
