That is absolutely unbelievable. Major market, 17 games a year, people paid to be there as their job and STILL can't get people to show. Not even interns.
Those photos are damning. They've managed to do the impossible. Make the 4th largest city in the USA, a city in Texas no less, stop caring about football.
To be fair... I was a sports producer at one of the other stations in town for 15 years. We had a 7-8 person staff for most of that time... left sports in 2010, left the industry completely in 2014.
Same station now has a two person sports department (one anchor and one producer/photog/editor.) Most stations just don't carry enough staff and sports is at the bottom of the priorities list.

Yeah....But about this Watson situation.
Not a single what appear to be info sheets are disturbed on her level, so if it is halftime that would mean no one was down there for the entire first half.

Any thoughts that the Denver trade has opened the door for a trade of Watson to Denver since they secured a second and third for 2022?

He'll likely hang around me the league as a backup player, if for no other reason he looks the part.
But the reality is that he was a non-factor on the defense. If he was any good he would have shown it last year, when he had JJ Watt absorbing a double team every play, but it never happened.

That's true, for the immediate part. But, Caserio could have dumped him previously or for cheaper, which made this come down the wire.
Now, Texans should have more clarity on his status and a better return.

It's pretty clear that Nick keeps his actual cards close to his vest. All these stories of back and forth have been very annoying. As I said previously, wake me when the trade actually happens.

I've always found McLain to be funny because he gets a lot of recognition for being an authority, but he's really just a beat writer that has gained notoriety. Berman is pretty legit though from what I know.
That being said, the deal not going through really all comes down to Deshaun. Wanting out so badly, but also not resolving his off-field issues is pretty ridiculous.

And also being so limiting on what team(s) he is willing to accept a trade. I have lost so much respect for him for so many reasons throughout this ordeal. To be clear, this is not a defense of the Texans, who make misstep after misstep and generally appear to be completely inept at running an NFL franchise.

This. Someone asked earlier what the difference between Rodgers and Watson was. Rodgers issues with ownership/management were centered around wanting a better team. Watson, as I thought may be the case, was more interested in lifestyle/branding, not football.bilbobag said:

If I'm Culley, I ask Watson to suit up next game. Watson has no leverage for the next 4 months unless there are major skeletons he has in the closet against the McNairs/Texans. May as well make him earn the money.
I agree. I've run the gamut with the Deshaun situation. Starting from Deshaun deserves better than the Texans all the way to the Texans need to dump him for whatever they can get. I still can't believe he showed up to camp. That was incredibly weak.
