Im curios about this as well.

On the S3 finale Theon's sister left the Islands to rescue Theon with her fastest ship and best killers.

Im sure they have to stagger storylines because there isnt enough time to touch every plot every episode.

Stoneheart should be towards the beginning of the season.

Sandra said last episode that she was thrown in the river. They won't wait 8 episodes to followup.

Next to Joff's poisoning, its the biggest HOLY **** moment of the 2nd half of SoS, and i feel its the perfect cliffhanger to end the season with. you could easily keep the storyline relevant by continually mentioning the BwB and their raiding, their killing of freys and boltons, casually mentioning their "new lady leader" (much like the books did) and then end the season with the big reveal. Boom. Shocked faces and even more anticipation for next season.

^ Agreed that it is probably the biggest shock followed closely by Joffrey's death and the Tyrion killings, but there are SO MANY things that they have to work with. I would think that Tyrion's escape will be Episode 9 and Stoneheart reveal Episode 10. The Littlefinger/Lysa Arryn storyline could be done near the middle or end of the season as well.

Purely hypothetical but if that is the case think about this. It's well known that GRRM has sat down with some HBO writers/execs and told them "how to end the story" in the event he dies or can't finish the books. If the Greyjoy storyline is omitted, that means Victarion doesn't sail the Iron Fleet to SLaver's Bay. And if that doesn't happen it tells you that the whole storyline in the book is not of consequence, and just another rabbit hole GRRM went down not fully knowing where he planned on taking it - ala, Quentin Martell.

Because I don't think it would shock anyone if Victarion shows up, helps Dany win the battle of Mereen, then tries to seduce and charm the dragons only to get himself and the Iron Fleet BBQ'd. Then we're back to square one with Dany sitting around her pyramid getting poked by Dhaario and endless chatter about returning to Westeros/think of my children.

I think Joff's death will be the second to last episode (I believe they had Eddard's death as the second to last in Season 1).

The final episode or two will be Oberon vs. the Mountain, Tyrion's escape and fall out with Jamie, Oh.****.He.Just.Killed.Tywin.On.The.Crapper, and closing scene....ZOMBIE CATILYN!!!!

DUN DUN DUUUUUUUUUUUUUUN

Joff is dying very soon. probably next episode. D&D have made some comments about Tyrion spending most of the season locked up/arrested. He wont be arrested until Joff is poisoned at the wedding, which is all set to go down next. The trial/killing tywin/etc, is far too much story to devote 1 episode to anyway.

Can't imagine Joff doesn't die next episode.

It's GRRM's episode.
It's called the "Lion and the Rose".
WAAAY to much needs to happen after the Purple Wedding and there really isn't much left to happen prior to it.
Virtually all of the season previews are "post PW" in context.

If the iron fleet doesn't get to slavers bay, then how is dany getting to westeros? She needs to get there with an army, not individually.

Also, I think one of the TWOW chapters released set up the battle in slavers bay, so the iron fleet does get there.

I don't think so either. I was listening for it when Tyrion was called a lil monster and he responded that kings are dropping like flies.

He hasn't died. Remember in the SF they had Yara (Asha) talking with him when they got Theon's "pieces" and she left to rescue him.

He will likely die soon though.

I'm not 100% convinced anymore that Dany is going to get to Westeros. And maybe if she does its just with her dragons. Who knows. That said, the slavers have plenty of ships.

I am curious how the show will cover the Iron Islands involvement in upcoming episodes. Doesn't look like Victarion or Euron have been cast yet, that I can tell.

Side note: While scrolling through the list of cast members on IMDB and clicking profiles of some of the lesser part to remember who they were, I found Sahara Knite. She has been in some interesting titles (NSFW)

I don't think dany and victarian ally with each other. Never trust a pirate. And the iron born are not trust worthy because they will only pay the iron price for riches and titles. Agreements are not their way.

If the iron born don't show up in the show, it doesn't mean they don't matter in the book. People leave out story arcs, give them to existing characters, and create entirely new elements when doing movie/tv adaptations. That being said, I'd hope they would include them instead of doing the above.

oh I agree. Victarion is one of my favorite sub-characters/POV. I would love to see him jump over the rail of the Highgarten vessel and slay the Tyrell Lord captain then shag the F out of the Dusky WOman.

Yes. Catelyn was the worst pov chapters. I was cheering the red wedding.

It'll definitely be this episode. If you watch those previews, I don't think they've shown Joffrey in them at all, apart from what we've already seen on the show and clips that obviously come from the wedding. No way he survives to episode 3.

Tyrion will get arrested by the end of episode 3, will spend a few episodes (4-7) in jail/the various parts of the trial, ending with the Mountain and Red Viper fight in, I'm guessing, episode 8. Episode 9 is going to be all fighting at Castle Black, episode 10 he kills Tywin and Shae, and escapes.

Tyrion gets arrested right away, that's why he was arrested anyway. Cersei was caught up in the heat of the moment and Tywin couldn't prevent it(which he definitely would have).

Preview for episode 2

If yall remember the teasers during filming it came out that the wedding will go the length of two episodes. Lots of production from build up, processional, ceremony, and feast. Plus they have to stress details like Dontoss' necklace, the pig riding, etc.

Titles of the first 8 episodes is released

Wouldn't ya know it, episode 8 is "the Mountain and the Viper"

7 is "Mockingbird", would it be too soon for the breastfeeder to "fly"
The Debt

Jeff dies in ep3, sansa meets LF in ep 4 on the boat, ep 5 she takes on the persona, ep 7 Lysa sees LF kiss sansa, then learns to fly.

Wow. Soooo many people are gonna be disappointed when they realize dragons aren't coming to Kings Landing for a looooong time, if at all.

HBO are bastages for putting in the shadow/dragon roar at the end.
