A big challenge is subscriptions to people who choose not to have sat/cable. Not having those providers limits your access to HBO or HBOGo.

And $15/m is double the cost of Netflix, so to watch 10 episodes of GOTs someone ishaving to pay $45. That aint gonna happen for the thrifty TV watcher.

I was really surprised that in the HBO 'end of the year' trailer that was shown a few weeks ago with all of the upcoming shows actually gave a brief spoiler showing Tyrion in chains again. Between that and the South Park spoiler, even the Unsullied might be able to figure out what's gonna happen to Joff.

If you even pay attention in the show you should realize what happens to Joffey, depending on timing. The red priestess threw 3 leaches in the fire. one for Robb Stark, dead, one for Balon Greyjoy and one for joff. depending on which one of them dies first you should realized the next one.

What I saw from the buffer 15sec teaser

1. Mel and stannis burning 3 soldiers, looks like they are still on dragonstone
2. tyrion in chains
3. some rider coming at a band of fighters, looks like the eastern continent or dorne
4. giant smashing into the portcullis under the wall
5. some rider with a white flagged sigil riding over the aftermath of a battle
6. joff marg wedding
7. calvary riding throughthe icy woods, lets call that stannis

Guess the obituary/episode it happens for season 4, this season will be a blood bath...

****super spoilers, I felt the warning is needed even in the spoilers thread

Ingrid-2 I feel the episode ends with the attack on castle black
Sandor(the hound)-3 there's not much more for this story line besides the crossroads
Joffrey-4 the wedding is imminent at the end of season 3
Mace Rayder-5 the siege will be between 2-5
The Red Viper-8 need enough time for the trial
Tywin-9 figured this would happen pretty quickly after the red viper
Lysa Arryn-7 a lot for this story line so I figured it'd be later in the season
The mountain-10 figure he needed a couple episodes of suffering just to get a sense that a lot of time passed

Am I missing anyone?

I'm looking forward to the Martells' appearance, a lot of potential for that storyline...

So I'm re-reading the 2nd half of Storm of Swords and in one of the Jon chapters I started thinking...

1. Is there any chance Benjen is alive?
2. Is it possible Ned told him about Jon's mother (as a member of the night's watch he isn't supposed to care, on top of being a Stark).

Anyway, just a thought. Likely that the elder Reed is the best chance of that eventual reveal.

On one thread we kept up with all the resolved and unresolved mysteries. Benjen's life and Coldhands are pretty big mysteries that are important to the central plot (white walkers)

1. I think Benjen is alive.
2. I dont think Benjen knew, if he did he would have dissauded Jon from joining the black. Plus I think Ned realizes that he cant go around telling people that were close to him, hell he didnt even tell his wife. Matter of fact he would rather dishonor his wife by bringing a "bastage" under his roof than tell her.

I don't get why people love Cat Stark, she started the whole war by kidnapping a noble(even if he's an imp) she should have let the king and Ned handle it from kings landing.

Also anyone else hear the theory that Jon Snow is Lyanna's(Ned's sister) and Rhaegar's(son of the Mad King) child? Think about would someone like Ned fornicate and cheat when he's married. Remember that this is a man so honor bound that he wouldn't secure the Red Keep for the sake of keeping peace in the realm. Thus Jon could look like Ned...

For those that are up to date on the books, can Melisandre raise people from the dead like the Red Priest? We know she has power, but I don't recall her ever reviving someone, I find it relevant to the story at the wall.

edit: We don't know about Mel, as far as I can tell. In the show when she goes to get Gendry she all but admits to Thoros she can't do it.

Just a quick correction: Rhaegar was the eldest son of the Mad King and heir to the throne, which would make his children the heirs. If Aegon truly is Aegon, then he has claim first. Jon would be second in line if a ******* was recognized or if Rhaegar and Lyanna were actually married and he is a legitimate son of Rhaegar.
