I'm not sure that I'd take an unverified statement on this board of a business closing at face value, considering it's past reputation of accuracy of speculations.
Emergency ER is closing down a large number of stores
The Tiff's Treat opening event looks pretty neat and for a great cause! Plus there will be a puppy there!

This board has more than once claimed that a business was closing or closed when no such thing had occurred, based on random speculation, gossip channels, finding a locked door when the owner was on vacation, etc.. I simply thought it prudent to provide some sort of evidence or backing to a statement beyond an "I heard". That is all.

Go look online. They are closing most if not all stores. This isnt a college station issue...this is a company grew too fast issue.
The wooded corner of 2818 and West Villa Maria will be getting a grocery store in addition to a few other things mentioned awhile back including a gas station. The grocery store will be a German based grocer known as Lidl. The building will be 36,000 sf, with a brick and glass exterior.
Another new project on the far West side of Bryan is The Ranch at Riverside. The development is nice, but that side near the creek was so nice that it should have been developed into a river-walk type of development or something like the Woodlands Waterway.

Definitely intriguing as far as development goes. Not too long ago, they approved an Americas Best Value Inn behind O'Reilly's Auto Parts. But the extension of Dartmouth means that there will probably be ANOTHER stoplight there, which is aggravating. Some better planning years before (or some hard choices now) could've given a viable 4-lane alternative to Texas Avenue or the highway, and I'd be happier with a stoplight there if there was a road that went straight to University Drive without lanes disappearing, low speed limits, back roads, and jogging on perpendicular streets.
