I noticed today that the Bush's Chicken location on Texas Avenue, in Bryan has "Closed for Remodel" on the sign. Thought it was kind of strange since they've only been open a year or so. Has anyone noticed the same at the South College Station and/or North Bryan locations?

We went tonight and it was good. I think it's going to do well with good food and a reasonable price point but I do worry that the space is small. Without the patio seating on cold or rainy days, there's just not a lot of room. The food had good flavor and we were able to sample some of the sides and the lobster bisque along with our entrees. The harvest grain side was excellent and so was the bisque. I had the carbonara with chicken which usually runs just under $9 and my husband had the pork sandwich that was just under $10. It was a good amount of food for The price. The manager we spoke with wasn't sure what will happen with the parking eventually but for now, there's no charge.
I hate to hear any business closed, but I went there a couple times. It was not good.AggiePhil said:

Not surprising. I've been to other Bush's locations in Brenham and Temple and they were really good, but the ones here were awful!!! Really awful chicken.AggiePhil said:

So the College Station Bush's Chicken is closed, and the Bryan one is closed for remodeling. I wonder if it will ever re-open.
Probably about the same as Rock Prairie Jack in the Box and the Dickey's BBQ by Gander.

Piada opens tomorrow (Tuesday). First 25 customers every day this week that follow them on Instagram get their meal for free.
It will be interesting to see! If another franchise owner takes over, maybe they will correct whatever they were doing to foul (Ha! No pun intended!) up the chicken! I don't get to eat chicken very often, but when I do, it better damn well be worth the calories!!BlueMiles said:

Never tried the other ones, but the Bush's on Hwy 21 is great.

La Bodega express is open! I got breakfast tacos this am and they were amazing. The Queso was great too:

Good. I was treated rudely by an employee when I didn't tip her for bringing out my order in their drive thru. It wasn't my idea your drive thru idea is stupid. And the chicken was terrible too ... plus no plasticware for the mashed potatoes.Quote:

The Texas Avenue one has a Oldham Goodwin for lease sign on it; I doubt that it reopens as a Bush's chicken.BlueMiles said:

Only had to eat at the CS one once, food was not good, drive in concept was different, and not different in a good manner. So many better chicken choices between Chick Fil A, Chicken Express & now Zaxby's. Not a fan of Church's or KFC.
I second the Taco Bueno request. We need several of those.
I hear UberEats will go live in BCS around the first of the year with McDonalds.

Finally! I'm tired of putting that peasant ranch on my salads.
It looks like the Piada Italian in Century Square opened yesterday. I've eaten at another location and the food quality, options and price is fantastic.
