**** Pillar and **** Donaldson. Don't want either of those ass holes on the Rangers
Yeah I really don't like that team and the players who played on it.Ranger #007 said:
I really don't see how anybody from the 2015 Blue Jays could come to Texas.

I think JBJ may be available via trade from the Red Sox. His bat is inconsistent but it would be nice to have gold glove caliber defense at one of the OF spots.

Go get Castellanos and stick him at first, then trade for Arenado and this team is back in the hunt.

I still can't believe Banny wanted to face them again, after odor punched Bautista. Those guys were extremely motivated. I said it at the time, but we should've lost a few games for the #2 seed and faced the Indians. The jays were a team who had our number unfortunately.
I'm so glad Banny isn't here anymore. He was a total meathead.

No doubt when I drive through Arlington I think "The American Dream".
Read the article carefully. There is a new, 880 room hotel going in on the west side of GLP. It will have 1500 parking spaces.DallasAg 94 said:
Isn't that a rehash of what was already passed? I thought the Hotel and Live! were already approved.
What is clear... is there is substantial investment going into that area. St. Louis has a similar "Live!" destination. I was there in SL when the Blues played a Stanley Cup Final road game. While it was buzzing, it wasn't as full of people as it was prepared for. In fact, about 25% of the area was full and there were tables and barriers planning for a much larger crowd that didn't show up. And that was for a Stanley Cup Finals. For a Cards game, it may thrive. However, it looked overbuilt for what was necessary. The next night, it looked like West End (Dallas).
What is not clear... is who is spending what. It references the money invested, but the language suggests the "partner" with the city is only contributing part of the investment. It would not surprise me to find the City is funding almost all of the investment.
I'm pretty sure that's exactly what happened down here at Astroworld that ultimately led to it's demise.DallasAg 94 said:
Half the rides were closed, it was way understaffed, and behavior by delinquents are too much.

Last week, teachers were given letters to hand out to students who owe lunch money. After doing some digging, I found out that our band program has approximately 20 students who owe over $750 to the cafeteria, ranging from $20 to $150 per student. We are working with these families to get their student on free and reduced lunches going forward, but in the meantime these students continue adding to their lunch debt every time they eat a meal at school. Many of these students are aware of their family's financial situation, and feel guilty over adding to the financial stress by eating a meal. We often see that they choose to stop eating breakfast and lunch, leading to behavior problems, emotional outbursts, and lower performance in class. We have already scholarshipped their band and instrument fees so they can continue being involved in band, but eating healthy meals every day impacts what they do in every single class. Please consider donating even $1, $5, or $10 to help these students get the healthy meals they need in order to regulate emotions, control behavior, and focus in class to be successful!

Alright everyone, I have a really big favor to ask. Today is my wife's birthday, and for her birthday she has started a fundraiser to help raise money for her band students that cannot afford school lunches and are in debt to the school district.
Music education has been a huge part of my life - 6th grade all the way through 4 years in the Aggie Band. So it is really heartbreaking to see my wife come home in tears because she had to hand out letters to her students that are in debt to the school district. This debt will follow them throughout high school, and their diploma will be withheld if it goes unpaid
Please consider giving anything you can. Every dollar helps.
I will look into getting some tickets and/or Rangers swag for anyone that donates.

I think it's just another way to excite the fan base...... only to let them down a few days later.DallasAg 94 said:
I know it says doing their due diligence, but if we nab Arenado?! I think that is a game changer. I know his splits are concerning, but 20 HR, .277 in 78 games on the road still projects to 40 HRs. Even if only 35HRs and a .277, I would be pretty happy.
