Frazier needs to be hitting about 7 or 8. He has two seasons with an .800+ OPS and the last was 2015. He's not some 4 hole savior here. There's a real chance his 2020 season could turn out to be a redo of Asdrubal's 2019 stint with the Rangers.wbt5845 said:

There's no doubt he's past his prime but he's better than what we currently have, provides a great stop gap until Jung is ready, and costs very little compared to other solutions. Love this move all the way around.
He's a career .320 OBP .770 OPS hitter. I wouldn't say he's clearly better than any option we had.
I think he'll be a stable bat + he provides some defensive stability which I think can help other guys lock in offensively whereas I think frequent movement can be a bit of a distraction.
I debated where to put him in that order. Truth is - there's not a classic 4 hitter in that lineup. Except Gallo - who needs to be your 3 hitter.
That's actually a pretty good L/R split - power from both sides too.
While everybody is important, Guzman is a real lynch pin here. If that lineup is to work, him hitting for power in the middle of it is a must.

Puig can still be added as RH 4 hole behind Gallo... pretty sure he played on a 1 yr deal last yr.
Where is this Puig conversation coming from? I don't think I've heard his name connected to the Rangers a single time this offseason

Cora is probably done. The Red Sox are going to fire him and I wouldn't be surprised if he catches a ban

During both of the Astros World Series runs, they made huge trades at the deadline for both Verlander and Greinke.
We can safely assume that no such trade will be made this year and they probably won't be winning the World Series this year either.
