Where is an updated plan of tower point? Where is the Starbucks going?
I now live in the DFW area. Heard a lot about them previously so I gave them a try,Cyp0111 said:
In-N-Out burger just isnt all that good. Average product and a few tiers below Grub and/or Hopdoddy.
Charlie Mac's burger place in the mall didn't make it.FlyRod said:
Have many burger places gone out of business in BCS? It seems as far back as I can recall, when one opens, chain or not, it stays.
Grub and Hopdoddy aren't really their main competition. Whataburger, McDonalds, etc. are.Cyp0111 said:

Everything is trash unless you pay a lot for it, amiright? How will others know you have refined tastes if you enjoy inexpensive meals? (shudder)CDub06 said:
All of the big chains are trash. Yes, that includes Whataburger and In-N-Out. It's like we're arguing chicken fingers over here.
Westgate is a bad location. Maybe the new residential construction will reverse that but Westgate has a high rate of failure (revolving bars and restaurants in end location, most recently Swamp Tails, Burger Boy, and a number of others).Marooned_n_Aggieland said:

I've heard 2 things recently....
Dollar General bought land just north of RV Country (or whatever it is) halfway to Hearne
CHI is possibly selling St Joseph back the the previous owners.
Both of which were more a symptom of Charlie Mac rather than his productMarooned_n_Aggieland said:

My impression was that he was doing fine in Westgate despite the location, and that success at the Westgate location is what allowed him to get in too deep and spread too thin by buying Square One.CollegeStationAgFan said:Both of which were more a symptom of Charlie Mac rather than his productMarooned_n_Aggieland said:

The "former owners " of St Joseph are the Sisters of St Francis of Sylvania OH, who are now the 13th congregation in CHI. So it would be really unusual to "sell" it back to someone who is a current owner. Would likely require some sort of special Vatican action. That's not going to happen. There may be dissatisfaction and difficulties with becoming part of a larger system, but the clock is not turning back.
Good grief -- how big is Century Square actually going to be? There's going to have to be a ton of traffic there to support all the various eateries, shops, etc.Cyp0111 said:
Orangetheory
Piada Italian Street Food
Sugar/Candy Store out of Waco
Merge
Subzero-Nitrogen Ice Cream
All added to Century Square website.
