This movie is going to turn into Batman and his Amazing Friends.
Weird they are releasing images this early, but I guess they need good press.

With filming starting, shoots do it to get ahead of the paparazzi photos, so that the first pic isn't some grainy outdoor set-photo with bad lighting. This way, they can better-control first-impressions and what not. Which also means we'll probably start seeing paparazzi set photos any day now...

He's older and heavily armored, if they are going the direction I think they are.

Not to mention the fact that we will likely get one. Not an origin, but we will get an early glimpse of what makes this bat tick.

Plus, add a few lines b/w Bruce and Alfred and we will get enough backstory. I'd rather have little backstory and focus more on Superman and one protagonist than try to dive into the backstory and split the lead role between Clark Kent and Bruce Wayne.
I've always wanted to see a Batman who was almost a force of nature, with very little Bruce Wayne involved. Doubt we will get that, but it's one way to keep the focus on Superman.
The movie may turn out to be awful, but I really like the look of Batman. It's a much more aggressive and intimidating look.
I love the Batmobile design so far.
I like the Batman costume, but the giant Bat symbol blob is a bit distracting to me.

I can't help it. My optimism keeps creeping in. we are going to learn that all of these extra characters are just for Justice League that is filming simultaneously, right? There's no way that WW is in a Batman vs Superman flick, right?
WW is definitely in this one. But we may only see her as her alter ego or whatever. We may not actually see WW in-costume 'til JL, but who knows.

Not great, unless maybe the theme is establishing which of their methods are best for a superhero to use.
The problem with that, though, is that the movie had to pretty much end with Superman's idealism shining through. But, the fans will be behind Batman because Bats >>> Supes.
