If Jess doesn't use it then he lucks out incredibly. But going into the nominations, it was a 95% chance after she said what she said last Thursday that the smart move would have been to make fake friends with them and take out a nobody. He controls the whole house. Remove a target and save them for another week.
The only real nobodies left are Jason or Josh. But Paul is too in love with the smell of his own **** right now, and he's also just as personal about getting Cody out as Cody is about Paul. Paul covers is up a lot because he never stops talking but you can tell with the way he presents his case to his crew that it's personal for him.
But most importantly, Paul is smart and knows the game. He literally benefitted from the first 2 twists to not only get him in the game but guarantee him jury. My guess is he only joined the show if production more or less guaranteed him that, but even if I'm wrong, and he just looks at how ridiculously easy it was for him to get a head start on the house, he should be understand that a twist is happening.
Jessica also is correctly pointing out that the rules of game play say you can't lie about that without production clarifying...so that leads me to believe Paul is playing emotionally right now because he's refusing to read the tea leaves. And that's something he usually doesn't do.
Paul and the rest of the house don't know what we know. For all they know she was bluffing. They don't know if she can just block her being put up or if she can halt the entire eviction... and why would he make fake friends with them and evict "
a nobody" ?
The nobodies are Paul's allies. If he puts one of them up it may make the rest of his cronies uneasy or turn against him... Putting up Jason?? He's one of his strongest allies. That would infuriate the rest of his team, and make no sense for Paul with Elena and Mark right there.
And that's not Paul being in love with his own ***** That's being smart... that strategy doesn't make sense Bunk.
He absolutely had the right idea. Put Jess and Cody up. Show their hand. If they can pull themselves off, then up go Mark and Elena. It was the obvious move.
