Dlance, Synology is a great product. Their interface is second to none and they get high marks for configurability, intuitive display, and their app network. It is a solid all around product built with the geek in mind (no offense). The ReadyNAS is all about data protection, and we outscore anyone in terms of secure data and backup options (5 layers vs 2). We are a touch below synology in the inuitive display dept, but we offer lots of cool features like surveillance backup, plex server, X RAID. We are ramping up our efforts on the GUI, streaming media, and auto sync with any device. We are a different flavor from Synology, but still a great flavor.
We are about 3 software versions and 15 firmware versions ahead of some of those early reviews, which is why we need Texags help to accurately portray this product versus the 2012 versions.

No doubt. I always love testing products and comparing what does versus another. I definitely fall into the geek category. Hell I am a former Wintel server admin and current mainframe systems programmer and security analyst. Looking forward to hopefully putting ReadyNAS through its paces.

Hopefully once more than the electronic shipping information is received the location will update. It's also possible that Marynel sent the wrong tracking information to certain people. My name is on the email from FedEx, but it could still be wrong. Fingers crossed!

It almost sounds like the excel sheet with our names and address was mis-sorted and the name is no longer linked to the proper address.

Just got an email about 20 minutes ago also. It says it's shipping to Garland, CO, I live in Denver
Since the tracking page doesn't have my address on it, I am guessing that it's showing the next destination for the package, not the final destination. I imagine this will change in a couple days
